| ~Ichiban~ | Get your first look at Square Enix’s latest, with a special note from the director just for you. July 3, 2007 - In the world of RPGs, no developer/publisher’s games are more closely watched than those of Square Enix. Its newest title for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, The Last Remnant, promises to give gamers an experience unlike any we’ve seen before. As a special note to introduce the first public trailer for The Last Remnant, director Hiroshi Tokai sent over a personal note to introduce the video. “After much anticipation, I am delighted to be able to reveal an exclusive trailer for THE LAST REMNANT. A lot of work has gone into creating this trailer so I hope you enjoy this peek of what’s to come. “Following THE LAST REMNANT’s announcement at the Square Enix Party in May, we received a tremendous amount of feedback from both media and fans. I am aware that some of the early information regarding the game may have been a bit misleading, so we hope today’s presentation will clear some things up. “I would like to take this opportunity to correct one of the common misconceptions about the game. Though many believe there are two protagonists, in actuality there is only one protagonist — Rush and he is the only playable character. “The man splattered with blood is a vital character in the game, and the story’s anti-hero. This ominous character has captured the interest of many and we will strive to develop him into a character that will live up to everyone’s expectations. “We look forward to sharing updates with you throughout the development of this project. Please keep an eye out for future announcements, and enjoy this latest taste of the world of THE LAST REMNANT.” – Hiroshi Takai THE LAST REMNANT Director IGN: The Last Remnant Trailer, Videos and Movies |

| looks...weird. How are you supposed to fight? It looks too fast-paced for a turn-based RPG. And the blonde guy would be a cooler character, IMO. |

| Keyblade Master | I'm actually really impressed that its a completely new IP that looks really nice. The gameplay looks intersting in that its different. I'm still much more impressed by FF13 though. |

| BBS ftw! | I'm not feeling it. Battle system looks extremely sloppy, in and out of action. Graphics are nice, but a game needs more than that. Story seems very boring atm, but that could change. LMAO at the start of the trailer. "An RPG for the world." BS! Europe needs to wait agaaaaaain. Major letdown. This game is waaaaay below my anticipation list. The director of the game isnt exactly "this-game-is-great-anyways"-material. You know, directors like Kitase, Sakaguchi, Kojima, etc, they are all talented people. They've proven and shown great titles. This director hasnt... yet. We'll see... |

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Game looks good, but a bit soft. (As opposed to being solid) But that can certainly change. It opens up a lot of doors for other Remnant games, something similar to the Final Fantasy series. Though, the opening of those doors felt a bit forced. >_> And I was under the impression that Square Enix's "World" was that of North America and Japan. |

Rep Power: 7 ![]() | this is the first time square released something like this. they're making up for lost time. the ff games that came out (besides ffxii) weren't as great as I/we hoped. |
