Joshua is easily the best Partner in the game

i prefer beat, joshua has to be flying to be strong
but beat is strong on ground and air, and just pressing left or right is enough for him

Meh, you may be able to just press Left and Right for him for normal attacks, but you're not going to get his Fusion that way, his Fusion is the hardest to get out of all 3 and it doesn't even have the damage to compensate, it's one of the weakest.

I dunno why you said Beat's strong in the air, because Beat's damage in the Air is cut by 1/2, and after every Air attack he returns to the Ground again, at which point you have to press Up to have him do an aerial attack again =\

I don't see why you wouldn't want look at a guide, considering even if you do everything by yourself, you basically gimped yourself and are making everything harder. If you don't know how Pins evolve and such, chances are you're using all kinds of weak Pins, or Mastering your Pins when they could be evolving, when you could be using Stronger Pins and thus enjoying battles more =\

well you got a point here, i still don't understand the fusion thing
and i noticed that beat is the only one that has two fusions
do shiki and joshua have more than one fusion also?

uh i didn't say that, i meant that he attacks whoever in his way up or down
you don't have to press up to hit enemies on air (i know his air attacks are a lot weaker but safety comes first)

Fusion is the thing where you get Stars for completing the Partner's "minigame", and when you get 4 Stars you get a big Pin that appears on the bottom screen that you push and then a super attack happens.

Every Partner starts out with only a lvl 1 Fusion, you buy the lvl 2 Fusion and the lvl 3 Fusion from stores if you look around, they sell "Shiki Fusion 2" and "Joshua Fusion 3", etc.

I wasn't suggesting it to make the game easier, and it doesn't make the game easier, it just makes it more fun <.<

I'm just thinking of it this way, if I played through the game and had like 50 Mastered Pins, I beat every single Boss on Ultimate already. After I do that I decide it's okay to look at a Guide to see some tips since I already beat everything on the game for the sake of a challenge, and then I found out that 40 of those 50 Pins I mastered could have evolved into more powerful Pins, or different Pins with different affects...

That would be extremely not-fun to me.

Josuah's Level three fusion is really the reason I'm replaying the game. Like a dork, I spent all the scarlitites on powerups, and I sacrificed Joshua's level three fusion for getting that last pin slot. This time though, I plan on mainly powering up by using food bonuses, while using the scarlitites on the fusions and and pin slots. I'm already seeing major improvement this playthrough over my last.

You know that you can go back to Week 1 Day 4, fight a Blue Noise, and you get Scarletite for beating it on Ultimate :<

Though, beating it on Ultimate is hard without Joshua's Fusion lvl 3, because usually you Chain 2-3 regular Noise battles, then the Blue Noise last, and you spend the 2-3 Battles getting Joshua's lvl 3 Fusion, then at the start of the Blue Noise fight you just use it and the Boss dies because of the 99.99x damage xD

It isn't just about the Scarlitites. I wanted to make improvements all around. like spending more time leveling up, collecting pins, buying more items, etc. I'm basically applying what I learned the first time to this playthrough, so by the time I beat it again, I get a lot more out of it, and apply it to all the extra stuff.

Edit: You actually didn't know about fusions Myst? They had an in game tutorial about it and everything.

You don't have to start a new game, Mysterious, just go to Another Day and just look at all the shops you can just buy the Fusions and lots of other items you missed.

Honestly, I'm surprised how many people just like completely ignore shops in this game =\ I'm on another forum talking about this game, and it seems like no one ever knows that Shops sell the 5th and 6th Pin Slot, or that they sell Attack/Defense boosts, or that you can buy Fusions lvl 2 and 3, or that you can increase Bravery with food :<

at first i skipped the tutorial because i didn't like the game at the beginning

you see, the problem is that i already finished everything in the game (even ultimate)
so going back with my massively high status to get the fusion stuff is useless
i played the whole game without depending on my partner
i still can't concentrate on the 2 screens at once, that's why i didn't care much about the upper screen
just pressing right and left is what i did

If you just skipped over all the tutorials and everything, then you really kinda did miss a lot. But the choice to replay it is tottaly up to yo.

didn't get it
i beat both the glasses guy and beat on ultimate but i got no scarletite
any other way to get it?
