| In Deutschland, Die Katze Sagt Miau | Got this game yesterday, and it is EPIC! I got the last copy in the store too, so that makes it all the better On day 4 (have to collect those damn 500 yen pieces), and I have a question When do you get a partner besides Shiki? |

| Premium Member | this game is aweswome, i just got joshua as a partner, the gameplay's good, the story is well written, and the characters are likable(neku after awhile) this game deffiantely deserves handheld game of the year, square enix is on a roll with the DS. There is no way this game would be as fun if it was on the PSP i hope they make a sequel |

Lolz, Also, Sham, I tried Mingling the other day when I forced my sister to open the gate while she was playing Animal crossing. Civvies give 20 PP each, so that's cool o,O I dunno what "aliens" consist of. Last edited by Raeneth; 04/26/08 at 09:40 PM.

| Man Who Killed The Sun Called Moon | I'm definitely planning on getting this game once I have sufficient funds to do so. Though, is the learning curve very steep? I'll still probably get it regardless, but the dual screen gameplay seems like it would take some getting used to. |

| Pederast | Button mashing and stylus tapping like an idiot has taken me pretty far so far. |

| Premium Member | it can be difficult at first but it gets easier later, there are alot of pins to use and they all have different way of being activated |

| I Support President Elect Obama.* | ............ I hope you burn. This game doesn't need multiple saves slots. You'll see why after you beat the game. Quote:
But a lot of the pins share the same motion, or use a simular one, which, depending on your order of pins, may block you from performing a specific action. For example, one time I had a pin where I had to draw a circle to drop a meteor in my number one slot, and a pin that creates a fire trail when dragging the stylus in my number three slot. Whenever I attempted to create a fire trail, I'd get the red line left behind in order to aid in creating the circle for the meteor attack. If you have two attacks that have simular or the same movements, the game will automatically use whatever pin you have equipped closest to the number one slot. Probably something you might want to think about when putting together your pin deck. As for the button commands, well, it might not be a good idea to mash them all the time. the button commands are the keys to using the Fusion attack, a sort of a combo attack. If you seek to raise your FP, which when raised to a certain amount will activate the fusion combo, you'd need to follow the specific combo chain to match, pair up, or select the card needed in order to gain that FP. There is also the light puck, which gets passed from screen to screen when ever a character completes a successful combo. Whoever has the puck can inflict more damage with their attacks than normal, and everytime the puck gets past, that ammount increases a little. Keeping the combos comming is essential to finishing enemies quickly. Plus theres a lot more to the fights, such as being able to adjust your level to increase drop rate, adjustable difficulty, changing brands to get the powerup of that area, chain battles, etc. Basically, theres a lot of stuff relating to the battle system here. Well, long story short, The curve is as steep as your gaming style requires it to be. If you are more likely to fight technically and build up a stratagy, then yeah, it can be pretty steep. But if you're a button masher, then the steepness is considerably lower.
