Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Ok basically I've finished everthing there is to do in KH1, (almost done with CoM), KH2, FFX, FFX-2, FXII and I wanted to get another Final Fantasy game and am thinking of getting FF8 and FF9. Are they worth it? Are they worth the time? |

| A beat your chest can seize up to | Yes, oh god YES. I'd highly recommend you to atleast get FF8, it's (In my eyes) the BEST final Fantasy ever made! You have to get past the....first few hours to get hooked...well if you try to pick it apart....if you just take it for what it is then you'll be hooked from the start...I was...almost beat it too...it's HARD. Anywho get FF8 and then get FF9, finish one before the other...that way you don't get distracted...maybe when you're done with those two you should play FF7, but 8 and maybe even 9 are better, in my opinion... |

If you don't want to strain your brain over certain bosses and moves hold off on FFVIII and play FFIX first(it's just a bit easier). Either way both are worth playing and buying in my opinion. If you can actually get a copy of FFVII....don't open it and sell it on Ebay the next day ;D |

| proud wii owner | FFVIII is not very fun in my opinion. I wasn't too big on the battle system, and the story was fairly mediocre. The junction system is nice but gets old fast. Of course, I'd still get it just for the collection. IX is a must. It's amazing. It's probably my third favorite FF, tied with FFXII. The story is a great homage to the classic FF's. The characters are great, and the battle system is simple but pure fun. |

| Dramatic Hearts Creator | It's ARE they both good. >_< And no and yes. I dislike FF8. Horrible characters, rather lame story, and overall just not that fun. FF9 on the other hand is one of my favorite Final Fantasies. HORRIBLE main character design, but the story and development makes up for it. Plus Vivi is awesome. |

| BBS ftw! | Hella Yeah! Buy both games, please! They are my fav FFs... FFVIII is my fav, FFIX my 2nd fav. Here is my list of good and bad sides of both games. FFVIII Good Memorable, realistic characters Different, dark, sci-fi type of story compared to its predecessors Difficult but very fun battle system Great sidegames Beautiful music and movies Bad Plot is rather lame in the middle part, gets better if you dig deeper in it though Battle system is hard to understand FFIX Good Fun, variating, memorable characters Deep story from the inside, casual and light on the outside Easy but fun battle system Nice music and movies Great sidegames Bad Some characters are lame to say it as nice as possible The style of the game is very to the point, you like it or not All in all, as a Final Fantasy fan, you NEED to have played them both... Its totally worth it for the little money you need to pay. Dont let people here influence you on which one to buy. Buy both! xD |

| ~Ichiban~ | FFVIII gets boring after the 2nd disk. There is only 4 chacters that had any emotion the rest was of dull as crap. and one of them you play as sometimes and the other isn't playable at all.. FFIX, has the story, the music, the characters emotion, the art, fun to play. |

Rep Power: 5 ![]() | Well FFVIII has undeveloped characters . a boring battle system , an okay story , confusing villains and great cgs. FFIX has a great story , ugly design , great FMV'S , Great characters , easy to pick up and play , wonderful sidequests , tetra master an addicting card game and simple yet exciting battle system . It also has a lot of funny and dramatical scenes. FFVII 6 /10 FFIX 9/10 |
