Most gamers, especially in America, will not realize the significance of what Square Enix did by putting DQ9 on the DS. DQ basically defines the console wars in Japan, in turn effecting us.

Plz Square bring FF to the 360.. I say KH3 could end up on the Wii after all.

I don't think Sony can buy them.. If Microsoft can't there is no way Sony can.. To bad Microsoft and Nintendo = WIN

^^And what of other major developers? They don't need to have full control over them, they just need majority share to effectively control a company.

Frankly, i think sony should buy a whole lot of shares in nintendo, so they can get filthy rich off the wii, or at least repay the debt caused by the PS3.

Doubt that'll happen; 360 sales are extremely poor in Japan. There'd be no profit for Square-Enix to produce it for that console.

I wouldn't exactly say that Square took a dump on Sony. I mean, Sony is afterall getting several big games. The PSP is getting Final Fantasy Tactics and Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core. And the PS3 is getting FFXIII and FFversusXIII. I don't know, I think Sony can spare Dragon Quest. Besides the sales weren't that huge on the PS2. But on Nintendo, the Dragon Quest series might have a better shot.

I am hoping that Square puts one of their series on the 360( like Star Ocean, Musashi, or maybe even the return of Chrono Trigger).

FF is irrelevant in Japan, you dont really understand how big DQ is and how small FF is. There is a law BANNING the sale of DQ games on weekdays in Japan because 1/3rd of the population would skip work or school for it.

I think Sony can spare Dragon Quest.

all theyve done on nintendo is release ports for the handhelds, released crystal chronicals 1+2 on nintendo and release FF1 to FF5 (i think? correct me if im wrong) Sony and square(enix) work well together, theyve released great games and it should stay that way. 360+Final fantasy=vomit.

and yeah dragon quest is huge in japan, it will do well for which ever system its going to be on, but as puck said, PS3 still has some quality games coming for their systems. i just want FFXIII.

ill have all 3 systems so i dont really care who they go with, aslong as they dont F it up

No, Its by Mistwalker.. The father of FF, he left Square and made Mistwalker..

So Sakaguchi and Nobuo Uematsu FTW.. Why would FF going to the 360 be the crappest ever? Dont say the 360 gfx suck, because they don't. 360 is just as good as the PS3..

How can it be better?! The hardware of PS3 and 360 isnt much different at all, and Square is pretty damn great in developing games, how hard the hardware is. PS3 is easier to develop for than the PS2, and Square has no problem to make games for the PS2.

You're exaggerating... Sure DQ is more popular, but its not true that FF is irrelevant.

Most Japanese people own a DS, so buying DQ9 isnt that costy at all. Most Japanese buy a Wii or a PS3 (Wii at the moment, but who knows what will change...) so FF is very relevant in Japan console-games-wise.
