*sigh* Okay guys, I have a little situation:

My roommate took it upon himself to play my copy of FFXII without asking. I have been waiting for this game ever since I heard it was being made in Japan, and he only heard about it a couple of weeks ago.

Monday night, I waited an hour in line at the midnight release at Ebgames to get it and paid for it in full with my own money. When I got home, I could only get in a half-hour of gameplay before succumbing to late-night fatigue.

Next day, I come in expecting to give XII the attention it deserves, and my roommate just nonchalantly says he's been playing all day. One look at the memory card confirms that his game time is aprox. 6:27, and he starts talking about the experience...

...I hate spoilers.

Yeah.

However, he had just gotten out of a weekend stay at the hospital for minor surgery and was in a generally depressive mood toward college. So much so that he missed all four of his classes that day while playing XII.

So...all things considered...how would any of you react to this?

I got my copy yesterday, but my parents won't let me play till the weekend because I'm on punishment. I may not can play the game, but I can read the manual, and from what I read, the License board seems even more complicated than FF8's junction system. It may take me a while to get the hang of it.

if you have the one that has the Judges on it and it came with a art book and a strat guide as well as a poster, then you got the limited eidtion.

I too don't have the game yet, but I am going to try as hard as I can to get the game today. I have a plan.

I'm going to finish my school project now, which will make my mom really happy. Then, she just might be happy enough to take me to the fricken store so I can buy it. And if she stil won't let me get it then... hmmm.

I'll beg as hard as I can! lol

When I got home from school today, I noticed my parents weren't at home. There I was, all alone with FFXII . . ., and of course I disobeyed my parents' orders played it! A few minutes after I saved, in the middle of casting thunder, my mother's truck pulls up. I quickly took the disc out placed it in the case, hoping I didn't put a scratch on it while I was rushing. I only made it to the first save point and so far I don't like this game, I LOVE this game! Before today, FFX was the best looking game I had ever seen in my entire life. Compared to the graphics FFXII, FFX's graphics look like crap.

I would tell him that I didn't care if he played, but for future notice, the only thing he'd have to agree to is no spoilers, period. I'd just let it go, these things happen and I'd hope that playing FFXII helped him feel at least a little bit better.

Gamespot gave it a 9 out of 10 and X-play gave it a 5 out of 5!

It's REALLY fun so far. o.o So big and stuff. Sometimes it feels TOO big because it took me an hour to explore a town. <_<;
