Yeah but they were still easy to beat though, I remember the first time I played Belias and I was nowhere near the level to do massive damage on him, and he killed me quickly since I didn't have any way to get rid of the oil status.

I beat him pretty easy. Mateus was harder.

How come Famfrit is pretty tough as a boss but sucks as an esper?

His attacks were water based so its best only to use him when you're fighting enemies that are weak against water.
