Damn, Dragon Quest VIII made me lost hope in the series. Atleast thing one is for the DS, hopefully some creative stylus action.

I've never played DQ8. I could, cause my brother has it in his room. Is it worth playing? If so, I'll play it once I finish Grandia 3.

DQ8 made me love the series even more. Even though it was predictable, I still like it. I'm looking forward to playing DQ:Rocket Slime up and DQ:The Mask Queen and the Tower of Mirrors.:)

I clocked at 67 hours
Huge maps to explore
Demo of FF XII

Cons
Was just an updated DW3(GBA). When i play a game i want something refreshing
Hero couldn't talk (I see no point to this)
Trails were way to easy with 2 trimbal of tensions at lvl 50. Dragons got owned.
Made me waste 10 hours to lvl from 50 to 65 just so i could beat the dragon with 3 attacks in one turn.
While playing i forgot why I trying to get the help of empreya (. .. i cant spell)

For a 17 yr old, you are an idiot. Rofl where in my post did i say people should listen to me? Monkeybutt said that it revived the series but i disagreed which is what the list of pros and cons are for.
. . . *sigh* you're just putting your random texts into my post. I never said it was a waste of money, I said I lost hope it the series and the uncreative story line (taken from DW3) didnt help presuade me into thinking DW8 was great. You might want to read first before you post random thoughts.

This is under Cons because in the extra bonus stage, you have the fight a dragon which can attack 3 times in one turn. The only way to beat the dragon was to get to 65 (which you get a new skill) and i thought that was a complete waste of time cause the reward was terrible.

I'm buying a DS to get this game (and FF3 and the Advance Wars game... but those don't count).

DQ8 brought me into the series. I'm doing everything I can to get the old DQ games to play (not ever easy). eBay isn't much help either.

Bonus dungeons are supposed be hard, and are supposed to require a high level. I don't want bonuses that are easy just as the rest of the game is/was.

I like how the character didn't talk. He didn't say, nor do anything that I didn't want him to say. I like that. It's more of a Role-playing game then.

And if you forgot what you were doing while you were playing, how is that make the game bad? Doesn't it mean you just have a bad memory?

Back on topic: This game, hopefully, will be sweet. Can't wait to play it.

DQVIII's storyline had many aspects of DWIII. When i play games, I like new and interesting storylines.

Dragovonian Trials were way to easy. With 2 trimbal of tensions at lvl 50 the dragons posed no challenge.
The only way to beat one of the dragons in the trail was to get to lvl 65 (which took 10 hours), otherwise it would be impossible.
While playing i forgot why I trying to get the help of empreya. During the main quest, you were suppose to enlist the help of a godbird but it took so long (like 4-5 hours) that i forgot why i was trying to get her help.
