Rep Power: 4 ![]() | Hi, my name's Bobby and I've been away from Square-Enix for some time now. It's because I sold my PS2 and just recently bought a new one. Anyway, now that I've got my PS2 back, I'm trying to find a good game to play on it, and I know that Square-Enix is almost exclusively found on PS2. So, I want to find a good Square-Enix game to get for my PS2 besides the following(because the following are one's I've already played and beaten): Kingdom Hearts Final Fantasy X Front Mission 4 Star Ocean: Till the End of Time I'm not gonna play Final Fantasy XI either, because I hear you need to pay monthly for that, and I dont do that.(well, ok i did it for Xbox Live so i could get the most out of Halo 2, but that's it. Besides that's not paying monthly, that's paying annualy.) |

| Iron Tomato | You could always try the sequel to FFX, FFX-2. Most people will tell you it sucks, but those aren't real FF fans. It's a really fun game, very enjoyable, even if it didn't live up to FFX. Still, give it a try. Recently, I've found myself playing the Fullmetal Alchemist games. They're pretty short, but quite a bit of fun, and pretty addicting. Give them a try, lots of fun. |

Rep Power: 7 ![]() | Well, it's old, but it's really good, a game called Brave Fencer Musashi is an excellent game made by Square but I don't suggest the sequel. And then there's Chrono Trigger but I'm not sure if Chrono Cross was made by Square too. |

| Annihilation...Redemption | Umm, bouncer is a game square enix made for the ps2 when it first came out. And it was in the top 10 games for 3 months. Its like a adventure/ fighting game. That you fight your enemies while going through different places. You make certain decisions and you learn the mysterious hystory of the characters while you upgrade them. Good yet short, but once you beat it you can take your upgraded characters and play the game with harder enemies and such. You could probly get it for less then $20 which is a bargain price. |

Rep Power: 6 ![]() | Well, Final Fantasy X-2 was a lot of fun. I liked that game. You couldalways try some of the Playstation games and then play those on your Playstation 2. Some that come to mind at the moment are: Final Fantasy VII Final Fantasy VIII Chrono Cross Chrono Trigger Star Ocean II |

| Ruler of Darkness | How come you sold your old PS2? but get the FF-2, DDR Max2, need for speed:underground racing, Bloody Roar4, Soul Caliber, Tak1 or 2, Simpsons hit and run, R. racing evolution, Xenosaga,Culdcept, Tekken4, Champions of Norrath, Mystic Heroes, and DDR Extreme. These are all my playstation2 games that you don't have....... NEVER get culdcept! it's so boring if you hate board games. Champions of Norrath, can't really say, didn't play it yet- just bought it on Jan. and still in the wrapper! And Xenosaga........it's so boring! Especially the beginning movie and have no idea with the email thing in the game. But i like the moves! get it if you want to though. Tekken4, my dad got it --boring! the moves are so lame. you can barely move the characters!hehehe You'll have to decide! |

| Organization Member | As far as Square Enix games on the PS2 alone is concerned, most of them have already been listed as far as I'm aware of. There are a few others, such as Unlimited Saga, but they either haven't caught my eye or, sadly, aren't very good games. You should stay away from Unlimited Saga in particular, though. A few upcoming games that may be worth checking out would include Radiata Stories (September), Romancing Saga: Mistrel Song (October), and FFVII: Dirge of Cerberus (2005). Of course Final Fantasy XII, Dragon Quest VIII and Kingdom Hearts II all look promising as well, but none have official release dates yet, as I would assume everyone's aware of. If you want to go back to the PSX, Star Ocean: The Second Story, Xenogears, Parasite Eve (/II), Vagrant Story and Chrono Cross are decent games. The only down side is that most of them are hard to find at best. I personally haven't seen any of them except Chrono Cross in a number of years. If you want a "full" list of Square Enix games, GameSpot has one. I personally don't trust the majority of their reviews, but having the names of the games allows you to search for other places to get opinions. |

Rep Power: 4 ![]() | Final Fantasy XII and Kingdom Hearts II are definently ones I'm gonna buy later this year, but I need a Square-Enix game NOOOOOOOOW!!! lol If you wanna go into PSX, well there's more I've already gotten through then, still not a whole lot though: Final Fantasy VII, Final Fantasy VIII, Final Fantasy IX, and Chrono Cross. Oh wait, was Legend of Legaia made by Square-Enix? I remember playing that one, i dont remember if it was Square-Enix though. |

| anime grampa of peru | I know I'll sound like I totally worship this game with the previous posts I've had in other threads, but there's good reason. Final Fantasy Tactics- Go get it. Now. It's like $15 at Wal-mart, if it's still there. The story is very compelling. It starts out like your Generic Fantasy game- "save the princess!" and such, but it evolves very quickly into a very complex story. It has murder, betrayal, conspiracy, heresy, etc., and basically everything else a good RPG has. There are a few minor plot-holes and translation errors, but it hardly detracts from the enjoyment of the game (if any detraction). About FFX-2- I'm sorry to you fans out there, but I just can't recommend this game. Go ahead and get it if you want. It's not that I brutally hate this game, it's just that it was a major let-down. It's like: "Hey, it's the first sequel ever to a Final Fantasy. Ok, it looks like Charlie's Angels, no biggie. It's Final Fantasy, there HAS to be some redeeming qualities." Then I watched the opening scene... Great. I still played it, the battles were good, except for the fact that the battle music was horribly bland, and they had those amazingly cheesy catch lines. Alright, I better stop before somebody flames me. |

| Warrior of Light | Square's good game list on the PS2 is scarce. Star Ocean till the end of time wasn't so great either. Too bad. Well, KH and FFX are good. FFX2 makes me want to vomit. FFXI was amazing for me to play for the one month trial but if you want to continue with it, you'll have to keep playing. I no longer play and I suck now. |
