Final Fantasy with Sephiroth as the main character?

Do you think they should make another final fantasy with Sephiroth as the main character, like before FFVII, you know. When Cloud, Zack, and Sephiroth fought together?

I haven't heard anything about it. But I do know square is makeing a new ff7 game based a few years after advent children. But I don't think it stars cloud or Sephiroth. But with square-enix you never know.

That game that takes a few years after Advent Children was called Eternal Curse, it was all just some elaborate April Fool's Day joke put together by SE.

And no, a game with Sephiroth as the main character would suck because he is overrated. If SE announces another FFVII spin-off, I will have to get vicious. FFVII is overrated, and only those hardcore fanboys/girls wanted the spin-offs.

well vincent will be the main character in DoC.. i like the thought of using vincent more than sephiroth personally

Well, there is a FF game in production for PS3, and it was first stated that it would be Eternal Curse. It was going to take place two years after Advent Children. A few days after I heard this, I found out that it was a just a joke. But maybe they have confirmed a new one, I dunno.

While i completely disagree with you about the FF7 being overated pert >.> I actually do agree that Sephiroth was overrated, he wasn't especially strong, difficult or cool looking, he had grey hair 0.o.....

At least we agree on one thing.XD

I don't get why everyone things Sephiroth is so cool. The coolest thing about him is he dies! Seriously, what's so great about some crazy guy-girl claiming to be a demi-god?

I think it's the same with Aeris, she's overrated, everyone wants to have her on the party, even when they know she dies XD I think that has something to do with their overration (you know what i mean lol) it's something different, one of the main characters dies, so traumatic, yeah right XD

I hated Aeris, she was so very weak. I can't believe people would actually want her back in their party. When she died, I was like "Oh, too bad, so sad." And I didn't give it another whim after that.

Ontopic: There wouldn't be a point to having a story with Sephiroth, we know all that happened with him already from playing FFVII thoroughly enough. It would basically just be replying FFVII, but with some different events and different protagonists and antagonists.

Well i liked everything bout ff7 but with all these sequels its making it hard to grip to the plot to many things to remember.... if it were up to me i would scrap everythin and just remake ff7 for ps2 and have advent children then leave it....

Well I have to disagree with you thinking sephiroth ain't cool. Overated, I think not. But final fantasy 7, maybe all their doing is making a sequel and now for the ps3 they are making an enhanced version of the original. So yea it might be overated but not the characters.

There was no confirmation that they are remaking FFVII for the PS3. The FFVII Tech Demo at E3 was just that, a tech demo to show off the new hardware. Don't assume it's another FFVII spin-off, because it could also be FFXIII.

And an overrated game is caused by overrated characters. Nothing about FFVII is as good as it is said to be.
