I love Kingdom hearts and I just finished it yesterday (what can I say, I bought the game late). Anyway, I'm new to Final Fantasy and I was wondering whats a good ff game to satrt out with (either ps2 or maybe like gameboy)?

VII, VIII, IX and X are all good games to start with. If you're not a fan of games with dated graphics, X is probably the best one for you. It's also the best one for you if you're unable to read very well or don't like to read (X has voice-overs, anything before that doesn't), or have never played a traditional turn-based RPG before. X gives you unlimited time to make up your mind on what you want to do without your opponent attacking you. The majority of the other games use active battle systems where your opponents will attack you whether you're done issuing a command or not.

Here's a quick run down of the games in the series for PlayStation and GameBoy/Dual Screen:

PlayStation
- Final Fantasy Origins (Final Fantasy & Final Fantasy II)
- Final Fantasy Chronicles (Final Fantasy IV & Chrono Trigger)
- Final Fantasy Anthology (Final Fantasy V & Final Fantasy VI)
- Final Fantasy VII
- Final Fantasy VIII
- Final Fantasy IX
- Final Fantasy Tactics

PlayStation 2
- Final Fantasy VII: Dirge of Cerberus (Not released yet)
- Final Fantasy X
- Final Fantasy X-2
- Final Fantasy XI (Online only)
- Final Fantasy XII (Not released yet)

GameBoy
- Final Fantasy I & II: Dawn of Souls
- Final Fantasy Tactics Advance

Nintendo DS
- Final Fantasy III (Not released yet)

All of the PlayStation games have become Greatest Hits, and are therefore $20 a piece. Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy X-2 are both $20 as well, and both of the GameBoy games are $30 to $35. If you have a GameCube, there's also Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles. A lot of people don't like the game, but you might enjoy it.
