Default what happened to the classics?

after FFIX it started going down.......hard. FFX was ok but FFX-2 wasnt actually the best thing. I have always preferred classics. what do you think about the classics?

The classics?? As in FF classics? They're just as good as all the FF's. There is no such thing as a bad FF.

I think I get it now. I prefer FFX, it's my favourite. FF1 is my least favourite, even more so than FFX-2 and Chrystal Chronicles, only because the story is kinda non-existent.

ok let me post my answer. FFVII was the best FF game to me. FFVIII was good but worse than FFX. FFX-2 has to be the worst to me because the story did not make any sense. in other words, it had no point.

You're talking about the real classics, from FF6 and before. (Not including FFI and FFII remade for the Gameboy) These games, FF7 and up, difficulty has nothing on those real classics, where you found only a few saves in the whole game and the bosses came on constantly, and you can't tell a door from the background due to the graphics and you wander around in that room for an hour before you realize that's a door instead of the wall. I played FF6, and that's the hardest RPG I've played in my whole life, I don't want to think about how hard FFI really was back then on the NES.

Well, I'm playing though FF1 now (amongst many other games) and it is pretty hard. I mean, the graphics are pretty bad compared to the other games so it is really hard to notice if it's a door or a wall. And it is much harder to level up, and the you get less MP for magic. I have a hard time playing it for long periods because it just gets so frustrating...and this is for the PS1, with enhanced graphics and some minor changes.

I dunno. FFX has Auron, and FFVll has cloud. I just like them. To have a bad ass game you have to have bad ass characters right?LOL

Um..........I thought Final Fantasy III was never translated to english. I thought it was jap only.

Final Fantasy X, hands down! Well, X, X-2 & TA are the only FF's I have played so far. Oh how I wish I found Final Fantasy when I was younger. I misssed VII, VIII, & IX. As soon as I move out Im getting VII. & nothing is going to stop me!

Or the guy is lying, or the guy is Japanese, or the guy played a hackfile, or he actually played FFVI (named FFIII in America)

Don't complain...i finished FF1 on the nes...it was so f*cking hard!!! you could fight monters non-stop for over an hour and not getting a single level...it was pretty hard to gain a lot of gold (yup it was called gold, not gil, back then) and most bosses were insanely hard. when i played he gba version i was so dissapointed to see that they made it so easy...even the optional bosses were nothing compared to the bosses in the original FF1.
