I don't understand why they would make a new franchises... there would be no point they could easily just make a new final fantasy since all FF's are diffrent stories ..

Lots of time, work and money is already devoted to the Final Fantasies.

This is a way for SE to start investing in new ideas and opportunities. And besides, everyone's already tired of every miscellaneous game getting stuck with the title Crystal Chronicles.

They can only make so many FF games before it all gets well and truly old. That's why they make a new franchise, because it's a way they can get another gaming demographic to buy into their products.

Idk. Maybe Final Fantasy will last a long, long time. It will be interesting to see how they end the series though.
