OMG, I just got it off Ebay today. It is freaking AWESOME! The junction system is so unique and summons right off the bat! Man, this game is seriously awesome! Please discuss with me how awesome it is.

enjoy the first disc, because the entire experience goes severely downhill during the second disc

this is easily my least favorite game in the series, for several reasons
  • drawing is boring and takes forever and gets tedious as balls by the second disc
  • you can easily max out your stats at the beginning of the game, thus making the game very easy
  • junctioning is retarded and gets tedious as balls by the second disc
  • plot had promise during the first disc, then this really stupid plot twist involving an orphanage kinda ruined it
  • characters are annoying as shit; only one in the main party that doesn't [completely] piss me off is quistis
  • angsty ass teenagers
  • seifer is a faggot
  • squall is an even bigger faggot
  • huge lack of extra things to do except for the triple triad
  • ...whatever

not sure why everyone loves this game, but to each his own, i guess

i mean, it's not all bad, the segments where you play as laguna and the music kinda make this game worthwhile. the triple triad is pretty fun too, i guess, because it's refreshing to chill and play some cards after chugging through the shitty storyline.

I pretty much agree with Steve, the game had alot of potential but the main character was a total homo, and by the second disc you'll see how bad the plot turns. I didn't even finish the game, I gave up on the game after the ending of disc 2, so I may be wrong, though I'll take his word for it.

Too bad it's the best one in the series. Too bad Squall is better then Cloud. But that's my opinion and I really careless what others say about it. FF8 is the best, storyline is adequate, and the gameplay is awesome.

ive only played a little bit of the game. the junction system seemed confusing but i never even got passed the fire cave. my friend wanted to borrow it :)


I herd this game is suposed to be more serious so they sucked all the fun outta it
like less extras and side quests and stuff?
