Only thing I liked gameplay-wise was Squall's trigger system for criticals and Renzokuken.

This was my very first FF game I've ever played. But I do agree with what was stated earlier that the game is extremely easy especially if you power level. Also adding to the fact that you rely on going through most of the game by just summoning GFs to do your bidding, and once you obtain ones like Doomtrain and Eden the game really becomes a cakewalk. Also during the final stages where the game finally decides to eliminate your GFs before you get to summon them, if you have plenty of Aura and Meltdown spells that's more than enough of getting you a total game victory.

FF VIII is a great game. I also like how you have to press the "square" button to do more damage to an enemy. I also liked the whole "you can customize your GFs" thing.

wow judging by your sig bbs, the game is itself epic man too bad i cant play it -_- but still maybe ill watch some vids ugh wish i had a ps3 now lol, anyways the ff series is seriously getting annoying now though cus of the millions of titles that noone can catch up to unless you dont have a life

This is probably the better looking FF game yet, but I haven't played it yet, so sad I hope it comes out on the PS network.

eh, i could of waited but i didnt, and you know the funny thing is, ff8 and 9 are still in print so when i got it from ebay brand new it was in wrapping and everything
