Square Enix made a hell of a fuss at last year's E3. Its announcement at Microsoft's pre-show press conference that the highly anticipated then PS3 exclusive Final Fantasy XIII would also be coming to the Xbox 360 was the talk of the town. Will the legendary developer be able to make as big an impact at the 2009 show?

It would seem so.

We've received word on what Square Enix will be showing at the E3 event, and fans of two of their biggest series will be extremely happy with the media set to get far better access to some key products than we had initially hoped. As much as we would like to tell you the specifics it has been requested that the names of the games be kept under wraps until the company has a chance to officially announce them. However, for the sake of excitement we thought we would give you the heads up so you can discuss it amongst yourselves.

We don't want to push our luck on this one, but there is no Square Enix press conference this year so you can expect an announcement prior to the E3 show regarding no less than three big surprise games which are currently unannounced - at least two of which are multi-format. We wish we could tell you more, but knowing something is better than knowing nothing...debate below, but don't ask us because we're not about to spill the beans.

One of them's hopefully a Mana game. They just annoucned Secret of Mana on the mobile phone, so that might be a little tease for a new (and hopefully good) Mana game.

I'm going to agree with Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest, although for new major games, what else could FF get with 13 on its way? No way for KH3 yet either.

I don't think it will be DQ or FF(at least hopefully not). I mean they already have DQ9 and DQ10 in development and they have like 4 final fantasy games. So hopefully it is a resurrection of something

Default 3 New Square Games At E3
Well I haven't been on for a while and I'm not sure if this is new or old but Square Enix is planning on revealing 3 new trailors at E3 09 (i guess the American team will be there). Anyway 2 of the 3 games are supposedly sequels to the "bigger franchises". Here's the facts from ffinsider.net.....

Square plans to announce "three new titles" at E309
E3 2009 is already way off the richter scale - rumours up the wazoo, and Square's here to add fuel to the fire!

Amidst trailers for Sony's Project TRICO and teaser sites for a new Kojima Productions title, word is starting to spread regarding Square's secrets for this year's show. Scuttlebutt is, Square will be revealing not one, not two but THREE un-announced titles this year.

However, that's not the best part - two of these are supposedly sequels to their "bigger franchises".

What could these be? We here at FF Insider are putting our money on at least one new Final Fantasy

Check back with us here from June 2 onwards for E3 coverage! spin-off, but besides that, who knows. Kingdom Hearts? Dragon Quest? Front Mission? Or maybe even... a new Chrono title!?

Well, if they're any thing like the most recent Square Titles for 360, they'll be total crap. HD is killing RPGs.
