Meh, the page really doesn't remind me of Bahamut Lagoon, but then again I never played through the entire game. Maybe its a whole 'nother series.
Judging by the URL icon, its probably gonna be a 2D game.

Is it just me? Or is that picture pretty fucking amazing?

Also, if it's something coming on a next gen console like the wii or ps3, I hope 360 owners get to play it. Then I can play it :)

I was wondering what this game was, I just saw it on the site. My first thought was it based off Bahamut Lagoon, is it a spin-off or a remake. But I guess we'll just have to wait and find out. It could be a completely new game, but either way so far visually it looks excellent.

When I read about this, I wanted it to come to VC, then I saw it was JP only. :(

Yeah.
The giant creature had much resemblance to some of the Colossi of SoTC.

In the main story, you take control of Ibuki, a young man who resides in a town on the back of the giant beast Giganto. Ibuki is considered to be of the "Giganto" race. He will fight alongside Yui, a childhood friend who witnesses the awakening of the beasts and fights to protect her home town.

The game will be shown in some capacity at Japan's Jump Festa event in late December. A release date has yet to be announced.

Square Enix will be formally opening up the game's website on Monday, so we'd suggest checking out Bahamut.jp around that time for a first online look at the title.

Thats a really interesting story concept, sounds pretty fun. Now, I've never played SotC, but even I can tell some similarities. Even still, sounds exciting, thanks Nova
