It doesn't have to be in Japanese, but you'll be working in Japan so it'd be extremely helpful to know Japanese. Plus, submitting it in Japanese would also get you big points. I'd have so done this if it weren't for 3 things:
* I don't know Japanese
* I don't have an in depth knowledge of the style guides they mention, and
* I don't want to move to Japan right now. Not only because I don't know Japanese, but also because I have plans for university and further study here. It'd be cool to work for Square, and that's pretty much my dream, but I'd rather be making the games than publishing press about them.

EDIT: This is my first post in...I have no idea how long, but I'd seen this the other day and thought I'd check if it was on KHI yet.

wait why was my post deleted?lol

I should do a Sephiroth x Cloud one. Called FFVII:The True Love Story.
My story.

Once upon a time there a 21yearold with many problems. One day something happened The Xeno Empire started a war and his kingdom was wiped out. The only people who got away was him his best friend(lets call him Felix). They soon meet up with old wise (his name will be Tom), who gives them power for revenge but it comes at a cost. The main character a the power of pain a great power but to use his power he has to cut himself.

But every time he does his spells and a moves become more and more powerful but it drains his HP. Blame I'm done.. Because if I go on Square will steal my ideas..

Edit one of the plot twist.
Later I fall in love with.... I mean this main character falls in love with Xeno's daughter who turns out the be really a man who just looks like a chick.(I did this power came at a cost.)
