I can see Alexander being a flying castle, but the only thing bugging me is that it's not as natural as the others. Like their forms are meant for transport.

I feel like we should be able to guess Vanille's....

The CASTLE bit by whoever mentioned it was a reference back to IX. It was a hypothetical.

Alexander himself is not.

According to FF-Reunion:

Chocobos will be used on the field areas of Pulse. The chocobos will have Life, which will decrease when they hit enemies. Once all of their Life is gone, they will run away. Hope's summon Alexander will look something like a fort? He will be able to attack things from the air. There will also be screenshots of the Nature Conserve Sanles [which you can read about in the web novel!]

Hopefully we'll get picture confirmation soon. I don't much like the idea that chocobos can take damage, but I'll wait to see how it's going to work before making any judgments... And hey, looks like I was pretty close with that flying castle idea.

I think this is going to be the first time in an FF game I'm going to want to actually use EVERY character. Unlike in FFXII where I avoided Vaan and Penelo like the plague. All of their unique summons just make them so awesome! I can't wait to see Vanille's. Maybe she'll get an new summon like Sazh did.
