Upcoming announcement regarding the Compilation of Final Fantasy VII?

Oh boy, it's not OVER. Dammit for most people, but yay for some diehard fanboys that still exist around the particular Final Fantasy.

In the latest Dengeki magazine, Nomura announced that really soon, they will be making a big announcement regarding FFVII. And he added that it is not the upcoming BluRay version of Advent Children. It's something different.

As you can see, it's a translation of a translation (Japanese -> French -> English), so we can always guess how reliable it is or isn't.

However, story is pretty straight-forward. FFVII is not over and we will find out more really soon.

The annouce can be revelead at E3 2008 or at the Square Enix event : "DKS3713", the next month.

So, what do you think?

Is this the big FFVII remake everyone has been talking about? Or another prequel/sequel/spin-off?

And if it is a remake, how the hell are they supposed to release ALL those other titles??

God i hope its not the remake, they,ve got lots of work to do as it is. Id rather wait till ffxiii and the new kh games to be made first.

I would have never guessed it. I miss the old Square when twhen had lots of new IPs etc.. When it wasn't just about, DQ, FF, KH and FFVII.

Wow announcement for FF7. I would like it to be a remake but it could be also be a sequels or a prequels to FF7:DOC or something deffente altogether. They could also be talking about the FF7:ACC but we know about that already, It could about any thing.

Yay! I don't have to drop $100 at Ebay for the PS1 version!...maybe.

I think it could be for PSP, but I think PS3 would be much more likely due to the fact that more money will be made that way.

If it involves FFVII the original game, I don't want a full-blown PS3 remake or anything like that. A PSP port with nothing new save for a better English translation will do just fine.

They need to stop milking FF7. If you milk the same cow over and over, you'll eventually get sour milk. Or a dead cow.

Yeah, basically what I want, except better graphics and a few new boss battles.

Perhaps voice-acting...?

Then, after the remake, they can stop all of this damn craziness.

Well, we've been getting remakes for everything up to seven so far, so it could be a remake...

Thing is, I'm so sick of FFVII, how much more shit can you make out of it? It's getting boring.
