| m e l o d y . e x e | FFX-2: That one guy you fight at the "Infinity" level of Via Infinito...what was his name? All his HP, MP and stats are like, MAXED OUT, soemthing you won't be able to do without cheating. Literally, his power level is OVER NINE THOUSAAAAAAAAND. Also, Vegnagun, esp. where you have to beat him befroe Shuyin speaks 7x and you get the "worst" ending, which is essentially a Game Over. Seymour isn't so hard the first time you face him...unless you don't summon Shiva. That's what I did the first time around -- forgot to summon Shiva. ARGH FFVII: - ANy boss fight in which two of your members will be "captured" and rendered unable to battle (i.e. Reno in disc 1 with the Light Pyramids, Bottomswell who casts those bubbles (waterpolos) around your members, and that machine you fight when you're about to get the Submarine). Esp. that robot because if two of your members are caught in its "grip of death" and the third dies, it's a Game Over. FFVIII: - I actually found Adel easy, if not time-consuming. FOr one thing, it helps to cast Regen on Rinoa (easiest method is a Draw-Cast). Irvine is a MUST, using his limits that target only single targets...esp. that ARmor-Piercing thingie... A hard spot? Hmm..can't think of one. |

Rep Power: 3 ![]() | FFVII: Defeating Bizarro Sephiroth and going onto Safer without getting the Ribbons earlier in the game so Pale Horsing me basically made my whole party commit suicide. Also a few fights where there are special ways to defeat a boss. That robot thing Reno throws at you near the submarines. Controlling Vincent in battle when his Limit Gauge is full when whatever is equipped could either help or not even harm the enemy. FFIX: Trying to fight Necron after being nearly killed by Kuja and not having enough items left to help the party. FFVII DoC: Trying to fight ArachNero when you run out of bullets for all your guns while in battle and you don't have enough MP to fire some magic. Never finished FFVII, traded in FFIX, but at least I beat DoC. ![]() |

As for my hard spots... oo let's see there were a few. Not so much hard as annoying, but dying towards the end of 1000 battle in Crisis Core >:( that was not fun. Jecht I found quite challenging even when appropriately leveled and a even with a decent strategy. FFIX I had a lot of trouble with the Blue Necron, and no matter how many times I beat him I still always find that I only won out of incredible luck. Nemesis in FFX, now that fight took WAY too long. I found Adel quite easy, in fact most battle in FFVIII were quite easy but I think I can put that down to overdrawing and junctioning 100 of many spells... (turbo controllers make it irresisteable) I found FFXII to be one of the more challenging final fantasies on a more general level. I mean you couldn't race through the game because levels don't come easy and equipment gets expensive fast, forcing you to do at least a little training and the boss battle really made you have to think about your gambit setups. Ah... what have I overlooked... Via Infinito, do you know how annoying it is to see a dragon standing there and think, yeah I'm level 100, I ought to be able to take this little turd to school and get your entire party killed instantly? not fun... I think I can come up with some more, but I kget the feeling you may all want me to stop now >_>

| m e l o d y . e x e | ^ I know how to get rid of the light pyramids. Actually prepared myself by reading info beforehand =D Also prepped on how to get rid of them Waterpolos (cast a spell on em). But that robot thingy....terrible. I forgot to mention the version of Seymour you fight on Mt. Gagazet. I had to resort to GameSHark form that point onward (I was younger at the time). ;_; |

Rep Power: 1 ![]() | I've had loads of tough spots during my FF 'career'. In VIII, I more or less gave up on my first time through the game when it came up to Adel. My party were undeveloped and it was just terrible. But she got what was coming to her..eventually! IX - I had a terrible time with an underdeveloped Quina when I went up against the Earth Guardian. Guh, terribubble. Then s/he still didn't help when it was Zidane, Quina + Steiner against some monster when Zidane is all depressed. X- First stage Seymour, not realising that I had Shiva at my disposal I went through many a time trying to defeat Anima. I think I had terrible trouble with all Seymours except for the last stage actually. Then Yunalesca was a pain in the ass...so was Sin's head. Oh an Evrae, but this was due to my hating tutorials that meant I thought sphere levels, were infact just levels. "Oh..I have a level 78 lulu...sweet! But she only knows fire...suckage" Other than that, it was all perky. |

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | FFX: 2nd and 3rd Seymours, Yunalesca, and the big giant sinspawn at mushroom rock road. FFXII: Still at Phon Coast, have to train alot, and you think that if your characters are about 6-7 levels lower than the enemies that they would level up pretty fast ![]() |

That being said I have a horrible habit of overtraining in ever game I play so... if you want a challenge out of the game don't follow my advice ;-)

Rep Power: 18 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | FFVIII: In the Deep Sea Deposit going after Ultima Weapon since I was under-leveled at the time, and I had to fight my way through all of the random encounters to get there since Diablos hadn't learned the Enc-None ability yet. FFIX: Ozma and its cheating ways. FFX: The monsters in the Monster Hunt area in the Calm Lands. FFX-2: Trema was really the only "challenge" that I got somewhat out of the game, everything else was pretty easy since I knew which abilities and tactics were the most effective for each enemy encounter. FFXII: Yiazmat, and part 2 of the Henne Mines. FFXII RW: A few of the late game side missions. Last edited by Haku; 07/13/08 at 10:51 PM. |
