Awesome, can't wait for it. I never got to play Chrono Trigger (Although I played Chrono Cross at my friend's house once), so now I'll have the chance to. ^^

Exciting news, for sure. I love Chrono Trigger on the SNES, and can hardly fathom the idea of being able to play it anywhere at anytime.

I'm curious as to how they're going to use the DS's functionality.

This is great because I played Chrono Cross and loved it, but I never played Trigger. I hope its just a port, not a remake so it will still be the original game. And its going to be released in December in other countries too.

No, no 3D. It's a port with functionality for the dual screens and the touch screen.

Ya, if you want to see screens of Chrono Trigger DS, just put in Chrono Trigger in Google Images and there you go. There is absolutely no graphic improvement, lets just get that clear.

Exactly. Keep it as the original. No 3D like Final Fantasy III or IV. The animation cutscenes from the PSone version would be awesome to have on there.

I never really got to play the game or find in stores for that matter, but on the DS *throws random objects in the air* makes things better! I was only able to play CC, but I loved it.

I've heard a lot of good things about the original and was sad that I didn't get to play it.

On an unrelated note, to the quoted poster, 9/30/08 is the rumored US release. just a rumor, though.

September? Is that actually considered Winter? I'm positive Square-Enix said in their press release that it was in Winter of '08 for Japan, and US shortly after.

Search "Chrono Trigger" in Google and you will have Chrono Trigger DS screen shots, as Shadow said.

It's a port guys, nothing more. Not that that's a bad thing.

that's awfully strange. why haven't i seen this page in wikipedia a few weeks before ? is this what caused square enix to make a chrono trigger ds ?

God, no. They shut that down a LONG-ass time ago. If it was what made them decide to do it, it would've been released a long time ago, not now.
