I like the menu song, but the rest of it is so different from previous games. It's like...poppy secret agent music. xD It doesn't fit Final Fantasy for me.

Hmm... I wonder who changed the name of my thread... no matter, it started getting more posts obviously, thanks to whoever did xD
Well here are mine (don't hate me but I've never played FFVII, III, IV, V, VI :-S)

Soundtrack:
1. FFVIII (the music suited the scenes perfectly)
2. FFX-2 (I loved all the piano pieces in this one, even if it wasn't Nobuo Uematsu's work)
3. FFX (Three words. Path of Repentance)
4. FFIX (not bad, a few nice pieces and the best ever rendition of the prelude)
5. FFXII (no standouts, sorry)
5. FFII, eh
6. FF eh

Story:
1. FFX (for the sole reason that I do not ever get bored of it, EVER)
2. FFVIII (people say it was too much like a movie... I say, what the heck is wrong with that?)
3. FFIX
4. FFXII/FFX-2
5. FFII
6. FF

Battle System
1. FFXII (very nice innovation, finally a move from the standard)
2. FFX-2 (while there were no summons... the pace kept you on the edge of your seat)
3. FFVIII/FFX/FFIX, not really a lot of inovation here, don't get me wrong, twas great, but nothing here that stands out)
4. FF/II

Summons:
1. FFX (generally well done, and great integration into the storyline)
2. FFVIII (nice summon scenes and good story integration)
3. FFIX (didn't care much for the summons themselves but nice integration in storyline)
4. FFXII... I dunno, I just didn't like em?
5. FFII, eh
6. FF, FFX-2. Where were they? Where the heck were they dangit?!

Characters:
1. FFVIII (can anyone say character development? thank you )
2. FFX They were dynamic and well though out, kudos
3. FFIX A nice shift from the norm here
4. FFII, not too bad for the era
5. FFX-2 sort of... lost it's touch here
6. FF, haha what characters? :p
7. FFXII... yes, I hate these characters more than not having any, Balthier was the only one worthy of my consideration because he's witty, the rest, no development, crap all inter-party relationships (and by that I just mean bloody talking to each other) and generally... they fell flat.

Worlds:
1. FFXII, very nice, extremely detailed and very well explained.
2. FFVIII, I just love the concept of the garden, very high school feel, made me feel like there was hope for my boring life in high school xD
3. FFIX, well done in general, I enjoyed the overworld and the pre-rendered backgrounds were nice.
4. FFX, nothing too wrong with it, just didn't like the linear concept.
5. FFII, nicely done
6. FF, the standard set of the overworld, who can argue?
7. FFX-2, just a repeat of FFX, why should it get any credit?

Thank you for your time
