Honestly they totally ruined everything in FFX-2

Just because it wasn't as depressing and "impending doom omgzzz" as FFX was doesn't mean it's a bad game. It had an amazing battle system, you can't deny that.

And yeah, I highly recommend getting the guide for this. It's insanely hard to get 100%.

I so agree with that. FFX-2 was amazing. The characters didnt get as much detail, but the ghost story was presented well. 1000 Words was awesome and this whole game lived up to X's ability to create emotion. Although I still see FFX as the most touching FF, this one falls right behind it. I totally adore the battle system, its probably the best in a Final Fantasy game IMO. The dress spheres were neat, and I like how each one has its own ability. It's cool that S-E finally went for something different and put a female as the main character. The music in the game was super, and the overall designs were pretty. The only thing I didnt like was the mission-based system.

Although I prefer FFVII's futuristic look over FFX-2's sparkling look, this game is still my third favorite Final Fantasy, with FFVII and Crisis Core beating it by so close.

My completion percentage is 100% but I have not yet levelled all dress spheres.

The gameplay was not amazing. ATB is an okay system (I prefer gameplay like DMC or Star Ocean to ATB).

It's storyline was terrible. The way Square made Yuna turn out to be was a mistake. The only emotional scene for me was when Yuna sang 1000 words and by then I was fed up and I put down the controller.

Dresspheres were another thing that ruined the game completely. It made it sound like a fashion show than an actual game. You should only like this game if you're a prepubescent girl.

Perhaps for those of us who are not total game geeks, it was fun. FFX-2 is one of those more casual games that are fun without a hit and slash gameplay. And it looked much better rather than those dark, emo worlds that are just so common in games nowadays.

Some people like the most challenging games ever, while other prefer to sit back, relax and have fun playing. For me, I play games just to take a break off work, and have fun.

BTW, Dress spheres didnt ruin anything. It was just an original style of FF gaming that also looked hot. The ATB system of FFX-2 beat plenty of games and is probably one of the best battle systems.

The best gameplay system is FFXII for me. Of course that's the worse for many.

Beating the hardest boss without catnip is not something that a casual gamer can do, so :V

btw DMC is not hack and slash, it's co-ordinated combos and has a very good way of getting gamers to do a variety of moves using timing and skill.

Star Ocean's gameplay is kind of weird and I haven't played any game other than it that has similar gameplay. Overall though Star Ocean has the best RPG gameplay IMO.

I adore this game. It doesn't have a many fans as the other FF's but I love it anyway. <3 I really like the story, the world of Spira after things have settled down from FFX and an all female cast! Sweetness. It's so emotional and dramatic, which I love. Plus, it's got an awesome soundtrack. =3

I also enjoyed the gameplay.

The game was ok to me but I hated fighting those bosses underground in Bavelle & I hated fighting that desert demon. overall the game in my book would receive a 7.5

^Originally I gave the game a similar score, but I think it deserve no more than a five.

It gets a five for the lulz it produced.

Hence the reason for catnip's existence.

Except for the fact that people like to actually accomplish things without blatantly cheating.

Hmm... while I'm not about to call it my favourite final fantasy out there, FFX-l2 cops a lot of crap that it does not deserve. For one... control over the flow of the storyline, who lives, who dies, who gets a happy and sad ending. While this isn't exactly a new concept noone's ever tried it like this and it makes for excellent replay value.

How you look at the battle system is entirely a matter of opinion and depends on how you like to game, so it can't be insulted, it can only have an opinion applied to it, and that being said, I quite liked it because no other final fantasy to date requires you to think so fast on your feat at the highest speed setting.

Cat nip... ok my only critiscism for this is... why in the hell was it named catnip? o.O
But seriously it is an absolute necessity, we know obiouvlsy that not all of the game's endings can be unlocked without beating Trema and we also know that a lot of people play FFs solelyfor their storlyine, so what happens when you get a poor gamer without a crapload of talent? Without this accesory they're going to miss out, tis only fair.

As far as the changes made to Yuna, I do think it was unwise, but this is once again entirely a matter of opinion. I also LOVED the soundtrack to this game mainly beause of teh incredible piano pieces in it. The lack of summons was disappointing even if the plotline simply couldn't allow them. The garment grid was once again absolutely necessary for the plotline... unless you want to be running an entire final fantasy game on a party of three classes? No I didn't think so...

In any case, Fadin Sun, if you want to say something, back it up with rationality or at least state "This is my opinion" as opposed to, this game IS shit, they DID screw this game up.

Usually it is assumed that everything that I say is in my opinion. It's like writting an essay.

I do agree with the soundtrack though. Although they completely ruined the Zanarkand remix this time round, you can always trust Square Enix for an amazing soundtrack.

I think the one thing that kind of ticked me off was that it didn't seem at all that Yuna loved Tidus anymore. She doesn't seem to take anything seriously and constantly says "Let's go find him!"

Honestly they should have kept the Yuna from X, not distorted her in a way that I barely recognized her.

Honestly for me none of them gave me too much trouble and the final boss was a major pushover.

Same here, I do realize that Yuna did grow up and matured quite a bit since the events of X but the ending result in X-2 made her just seem like a shadow of her former self.
