Yeah, except that when you master an All, it makes a new one. Then you sell the old one. Then Master the new one ._. Then when you don't need money, you can hold onto the extra alls. All takes no time to master in comparison to nearly every other materia.

He does have a point. Just keep mastering materia (by fighting) and then sell it. But keep in mind I would only sell the lesser materia's like All, Cure, Ice, etc. etc.

If you don't have enough money to spend on breeding right now then I would assume your characters may not be all that strong. Before you go picking a fight with ultimate Weapon I would suggest that you level up your characters first and make sure you have all the required materia and also that the materia is mastered.

What level are your characters anyway?

Hmmm...that's a little low for where you're at in the game. I would hold off on ultimate Weapon for now and focus on getting the Knights of the Round.

Noo, you just need to sell All. You get cash from mastered materia in accordance with how much AP you need to get them before they're mastered. Green magics sell for crap, Purple sell... i dunno. I never sell them. In fact, the only Materia i've ever sold is All. you get 1.4 million from it. You don't need more than that for feeding chocobos ._. If you do, just get another All Mastered. Get the double/triple weapons (if you have the two triples) and shove some All materia on it. Then hop in the highwind and head to Mideel. The beasties there give lots of EXP/AP/Gil. My favorite place to train materia in the game XP I don't train in the Northern Crater.

Depends on how many times you fought it. It usually settles over around.... four areas. Maybe five.

Northern Crater, Midgar, Fort Condor... Nibelheim maybe? I don't know offhand. I just follow it. Anyway, it always heads to a major city, so just fly to each city/Crater and you'll find it. If you've fought it a few times already, you need to head to Cosmo Canyon to finish it off. Be sure to learn Shadow Flare from him though x.x Equip all of your Enemy SKill materia to one character and attack him until he casts it on them XP Also, be sure they survive it >___>;;

I Heart ShadowFlare o.o

Default Need Help on FF VII

I just bought this game about a week ago and I'm now getting around to playing it the first time, but I'm feeling really stupid right now because I can't figure out how to start a new game. >< My video game, like most old games, didn't come with the original manual.

Can someone please tell me how to start a new game on this?

If your having trouble with the disc based game on the ps1, to get the game started the main button back then was the "O" button instead of "X", once you get the game started though you can change the controls around.

Shadow flare is horribly useless at that point in the game. The fact that your summons can do more than that, and many of them cost LESS MP to summon, and they're cooler, makes it a worthless attack, plus, there are many, many, many better enemy skills out there, especially at that point in the game.

Defeat Ultima Weapon, then get KoTR. Don't put KoTR on cloud though, if you equip him with his final weapon, just as a notation.
