Slow gameplay, terrible graphics, mediocre storyline, way overhyped, way overrated, too many spinoffs, etc.c

I agree with the spinoffs and overhyped. It's annoying as hell.

And way underrated? Underrating it is as bad as overrating is, and IMO, half of your points are totally biased against the game, such as graphics (yeah, 1997, then I hope you hate every game previous to it) and the overhyped (in what a game being overhyped or overrated make it less good?), or even the spin off things (in what a game having sequels makes the original less good? No one force you to even look at the sequel).

I'd even prefer if someone really hated the game for what it is, rather for hating it for the fans it has.

As a person who dislikes FFVII and who is a reformed hater I find the points in bold to be null. My dislike of the game comes from actually playing the game and disliking the characters and story, it being liked by many shouldn't affect the actually game itself since the fans have nothing to do with the game. You can not like the game for the game just being bad to you and leave it at that but bringing in the cry of every biased hater is just sad and unnecessary.

Everyone should know by now that the reason why FFVII was such a great game was because of the timing of its release. Up till FFVII we were playing a 2-D games with ok stories. Then FFVII hits with graphics that was beyond pretty much all games and it provided a 40+ playing time. On top of that people loved the story. Of course I think there are flaws in the story and the overall gameplay, but I think this game was amazing and will always be considered a legend in the gaming world. I am not saying it is the best FF game cause I myself wouldn't put it at the top.

ok i agree with u on the spinsoff their i bit much and i didnt like DOC, i know that not everybody like it but i first point makes no sense as its an RPG a they tend to have slow game play. i think for it time the graphics where great and it had one of the better ff storys.

I think u should have metioned the characters as i didnt like them all, i guess now u could say it overrated to some extent but was it overhyped before the game came out? it was long ago when i first played it and im not sure if i was advertised that much and i wouldn't know peoples feeling towards the game before released.

I have plenty of reasons, I was just summing it up.

I've played the game all the way through. Granted it had it's moments in story and presentation, the overall experience just didn't match that ones I had with previous Final Fantasy games. I absolutely hated the way the graphics were presented, as they could have done such a better job with a few minor changes. The characters felt distant to me, as each seemed to be lost in their own little world and failed to express the feelings I would have liked them to show. The game play wasn't horrible, but it just seemed too slow paced. Of course, I'm not really fond of most of the Final Fantasy's game play. As for being over hyped, I was just talking about how this game seems to come up when amazing games are talked about. Everybody claims it's the masterpiece of the Final Fantasy universe, and I just disagree with that.

These are all my opinions, obviously, and I don't expect you to agree with any of them. I'm perfectly fine with that, as hardly anyone ever agrees with me on this game.

Your reasons are your own but including how the game is well received as a back draw made no sense, that was my gripe not you disliking the game because I do too. That was all.

Of course it does but it should never make anyone dislike the game more since other like it a lot. I deal with this a lot with FFX, everyone loves it and I despise it but I never let the fans make me hate it more seeing Tidus causes enough hatred for me.
