This is a thread that only relates to FinalFantasy VII. The main theme of FFVII is Life and saving the planet from ourselves. It focuses on humans causing the natural problems of the world ad learning how to fix them.

FFVII installments:
Before Crisis- game that revolves around the Turks and their fight against Avalanche.
Crisis Core: FinalFantasyVII- revolves around Zack Fair and his journey on becoming hero; introduces Angeal Hewly and Genesis Rhapsodos; explains Sephiroth's descent into evil; introduces the friendships between Zack, Cloud, Aerith, Tifa, and Yuffie; explains the hatred Cloud has for Sephiroth and Tifa's hatred towards Shinra.
FinalFantasy VII- the first US installment to the series; explains why Gaia (the planet) is i the shape it is in in Advent Children
FinalFantasyVII:AdventChildren- takes place two years after FinalFantasyVII; introduces three new characters Kadaj, Loz, and Yazoo; Kadaj and co. are remnants of Sephiroth of are try to complete "the Reunion" between Jenova cells; disease known as Geostigma is effecting the population of all who posess Jenova cells
Dirge of Cerberus: FinalFantasyVII- story revolves around Vincent Valentine; secret SOLDIER group called DEEP UNDERGROUND is introduced; their objective is to use the Proto Materia and Chaos in Vincent to summon a Comet to collide with Gaia; also shows the relationship between between Lucrecia, the mother of Sephiroth

i thought before Crisis was before Crisis Core. It had more to do with the Turks then anything.

I'm playing through FFVII for the first time and I've just passed the part where [spoiler]aeris dies[/spoiler]. My thoughts were simply... man that would have been so incredibly dramatic if half of all the pictures ion th internet, 90% of Advent Children and word of mouth from... the entire world, hadn't given it away xD
