I love most FF games.....

So is this game worth me spending 40+ bucks on? >.>

Or should I just head on over to blockbuster and rent it first?

@FA: If you haven't played it, then yeah buy it (it's one of the best FF's, imo).

Good call, it's pretty tough in there without metal-related gear (If you hadn't figured it out, anything metal-equipment in those caves will stun the charecter that had it equipped.)

Just a little adivise, buy the Fireshard sword in Troia for Cecil (he's still generally useless, just some monsters in there are weak to fire, so he's a little less useless). And for Yang, equip Fire Claws (if you only have on, use a lightning claw instead till you get the Fairie Claws)

^^^
Thanks for the advice. Well, I'm done with the cave and got the earth crystal. The dark elf(or dragon) wasn't really that hard. While he was still an elf I made Tellah silence him so all he did was sit there looking stupid. And I mad Yang focus 3 times. oh yeah, and tellah hasted everyone. and when he turned into a dragon, I just made Yang attack(which did almost 3000 damage) and Tellah use Firaga(which did almost 4000 damage). After that we just kept attacking and soon the fight was over before the dragon could even attack me! Now to find Rosa in that tower! WTF! I'm playing it rite now and I opened this chest and this fire monster ambushed me. He killed me party in like, 2 hits with Scorcher!

Cecil's sword (use Darkness), and have Rydia heal Cecil, and Tellah use Fire (or Blizzard, I can't remember). It's an easy boss, and if you have trouble you can always resort to using Slow

Well, I beat the octopus thing in the waterway pretty easily, I just had Rydia defend or heal when neccessary, and had Tellah and Cecil set upon him with sword and magic respectively.

Ok so thx for the tips but one more thing I dont quite understand the battle speed. Is it where if I set it to 6 enemies wait to attack why'll im looking through the attack menu? BTW what level should I be to beat the octo whatever?

Oh and guys I JUST BEAT OCTO WHATEVER FREAKAZOID!!! Thanks to your tips of course. It's funny because the only thing i did throught he whole battle was clicked darkness for Cecil and the put it on auto-battle. Thank You!

In the Tower of Babil (sp?), they're random encounters.

And they come in packs of 3
