| Ouvrez Votre Esprit | After playing FF3 DS and discovering that 2D to 3D remakes are fairly lame, I'll probably pass on this one. Plus, I have so many other games that I want to buy later on that look much better than FF4. |

I can't think of one game coming soon before or after this that looks better. And the additions they seem to making for this look awesome. /fanboyism

I'm so syched for FFIV. It's gonna be a blast! From what I've seen, Its Vastly superior than the method used to remake FFIII. No cartoony big heads! Last edited by Steve; 07/23/08 at 01:59 AM. Reason: don't try to hide, we know you did it.

| the maverick | hey guys let's tally up how many stickies we have and whoever has the most by the end of the year is the coolest right alright cool ready set go ! Might pick up the game, but if it's like FFIII DS where the combat is completely slowed down and I have to wait half a minute to perform a spell then I might stick to my original copy and GBA remake. |

Rep Power: 3 ![]() | I just got this game yesterday and it's great! I really like the cutscenes with voices. The characters actually seem real and emotional. and the gameplay is pretty good too. It starts off REALLY slow so at the first oppurtunity go to settings and put the battle speed all the way up and keep it there. It's still slow, but once you get about 3 or 4 party members battles start to get more interesting and fast. I'm a couple of hours into it and I'm taking a little break now. I'm on the mountain with Palom, porom, and tellah....and I'm about to die lol Last edited by Sorarules13; 07/23/08 at 10:44 PM. |

| Pederast | Several of my friends got the game so I'm borrowing one of theirs. The game is relatively the same. Enhanced graphics does not give the game a new "feel". If you've already played the game, I see no reason to pay $40+ just to see the game in 3D. (unless 3D is your thing) The cutscenes are annoying and don't add any emotion because that's simply impossible from the vapid voice acting. The gameplay is significantly faster than FFIII, but really, all games are faster than FFIII. The battles are fast enough. (if on battle speed 1) Personally, I feel the difficulty has been reduced drastically (yes, even more so from the SNES version). I'm reading that people are actually having difficulty with random battles and some bosses, but I think they're just morons. (And no, the assessment is not based off the fact that I've played previous versions of FFIV) The game introduces "augments" which give your characters new abilities. So, if they did increase the difficulty (which I don't think they did) this system nulls it. If you haven't played FFIV, I'd recommend it. If you have, you'd probably have more fun if you brought a console game. |

Rep Power: 3 ![]() | ^^ I personally don't give a crap about augments. I never use them(well...I don't know how to use them lol). You shouldn't have that much of a problem with random battles unless you get lazy and don't feel like lvling. I've never played FFIV before so I'm having a lot of fun with this. I'm mad now though. This game never gave me an oppurtunity to save and now it died! Now I have to start from the world map, go into this village, go ALL the way through this LONG underground waterway, go through Baron's castle, and fight a tough boss to get back to where I was! And then I have to fight an even harder boss! grrrrrr (>.<) *explodes* |
