Welcome to the Compilation of FFVII. I don't think any FF should be given a whole damn series to itself popular or not but S-E wants to continue pushing VII to [strike]fucktards[/strike] new fans so the other FF's will just have to take a back seat which I think is best.

There will be another addition to the series due to what Lezard said. I wish it weren't true but sadly it is. If the game,movie etc doesn't involve Zack or ShinRa then I really wouldn't care for it.

F*ck that. VII doesn't need a remake before the other FF's just because some tech demo and AC gave the fanboys hard ons. Also I vaguely remember S-E saying that a remake is just too much right now or something with all the other projects.

Once the first part of the Fabula Nova Crystallis is done, the next phrase I want to hear out of S-E's press release is "FFVII remake".

I found a place where I could buy it new. It was 149.99 USD. Backordered.

Those were nothing but ports with a few pretty fmv's besides III and IV. To give VII a remake with new modern graphics, voice acting, correct translations, and other shit on a console before any of the other ones do is down right blasphemous to me. I know their going to do it anyways but still I think it's wrong.

I don't see why it needs a remake, 10mil copies sold and that was with the PS1 version, there couldn't have been that much wrong with it if it sold that much. I thought it was fine besides a few errors and it's still fine.


The XIII universe is also set to last 10 years along with other titles S-E knows it doesn't have the time to fully remake VII nor does it need to. I would rather have a remake on it's 20th anniversary if anything instead of now but S-E has a tendency to screw me over anyways.

^ Exactly. It's not that it deserve it better, that other should get if first. It is that they decided they'd do a compilation on FF7, and they won't abandon.

They said they'd do the remake only if they have the whole original team working on it. Only Nobuo Uematsu has not confirmed he'd come back, but he is interested. I mean, considering CC's secret ending, the PS3 demo and the last page of the 10th Anniversary Ultimania, the remake on PS3 is nearly sure.

FFVII should get a remake for the PS3.

Already the Final Fantasies before it are getting remade,chances are high that it will get remade also.
It wouldn't hurt and the many fans of VII will pretty much buy the Console it will be on solely for it.

No, I don't, because half the people that say they like FF have only played frickin' VII! Hell, just forget the best games in the series. Just leave them to die. FFVI, FFV, FFI, and FFII(Can't believe I just said that) all deserve remakes before FFVII. They were here first, they came before FFVII. They deserve it. My favorite game, FFIV, is getting remade for the DS right now. That is a good start. Let's see FFV and FFVI get remakes. Heck, FFI and FFII have never gotten a true, 3D remake. Compare the graphic of FF1 on NES with those of the GBA or PSP version. Yeah, it's not 3D, but it's a big improvement already!

I don't know if FF2 deserve more a 3D remake than FF7. What I know is that FF7 is more popular than all others FFs said in this thread. I know it's unfair, but protesting against it is not going to make what you want become true.

I mean, it's just logical. Put a remake of FF1 and 2 on PS3, or one of FF7 on PS3. From a business point of view, it's not even a question which one they must do. We are not going to change things.
