Quite helpful when many of enemies are near, but aren't those attacks risky at times?

darn, im so frustrated in chapter 2, on the time where you battle Gaffgarion on the lional castle gates, i used the lever to get my team-mates in, but my team-mates are at low HP and there's still a summoner and a knight, so i came close, i had to restart it becuz now i know how to unlock all the other jobs, like the bard..the onion knight and dark knight

Urghhh, I'm stuck on the last fight of Chapter one.

I think it's possible that I'm just bad at strategy games, but when my Ramza is level 16 and a level 5 monk and I still lose, I'm thinking that there's something amiss.

hehhe....chapter 1?, i suggest a summoner an archer, you know that there are 2 squads right?, put the 2 2nd squad members(maybe the monk and arche may do it) close to ramza so they would fight beside you, the summoner(i suppose Lich or Golem) may use some strong spells(if u saved some), now, Ramza and Delita can just beat up many a$$es in front of u, and be sure to be level 10 or 11+

for me, the battle at the fort place would have taken forever...if the other teams black mage wasn't a dumbass, lol. i beat that battle easily due to the fact that the mage cast fire, and i got beside argath, slashed him, then the fire spell came next turn and killed him off.

lol you suck

I kid, I kid. Tactics is shit hard on your first playthrough, I understand. Since you're Ramza's at level 16 and as long as he's a knight equipped with an iron sword, he really shouldn't have much trouble taking out Algus in a few hits along with Delita getting his share of damage in. But uh, if you're having trouble with that, I'd suggest going for the black mages first, then the archers, as they're the main troublemakers in this fight. Also, that Monk you've could be doing some serious damage with his earth slash (or whichever move is the one where Monk's attack everyone its front path, pretty sure it's earth slash). The enemies at Fort Zeakden tend to line up behind Algus, so that move could be doing some nice damage.

As for the rest of your party, I don't know what class they are. But uh, as long it isn't full of chemists or white mages, you should be fine, especially since you have such a high leveled Ramza and a monk in your party.

Yeah, this game is tough as hell on the first playthrough. You'll get the hang of things, I'm sure. At least, I sure hope you do, because if you're having this much trouble in chapter one, you're going to have a rather vulgar mouth much later in this game (lol Wiegraf + Velius fight).

Side note: I haven't played Lion Wars, only the original for the PlayStation, so the names of characters and locations I'm using might be different. I apologize if it's an issue.

o dont quite rely on white mages...so i made mine an orator...so i got a chocobo on the beginning with the "entice", oh and be sure to have a golem summon on your summoner....really helps, and level 16?, wow, i was really only lv. 10 or 11 when i beat him, becuz my party has equal levels, but the dragoon is the fastest becuz it can make serious damage
