Just a question of curiosity what is the order of the Final Fantasy VII series? I know the order is
Crisis Core
FFVII
?
?
So which comes next Dirge of Cerebrus or Advent Children?

Thanks thats great now i can go watch the movie before aadding another game to my buy list. I have now fallen i love with FFVII and so now I am playing them all. I'm playing Crisis Core right now and then I have FFVII coming to me from amazon so i guess I''ll just go rent the movie tonight.

Actually I believe Before Crisis comes first, THEN Crisis Core/Last Order, FFVII (main one), AC, DoC/Lost Episode. yeah..

Whoa what is Before Crisis is it a game or movie or something becuase if it is I need it to add to my collection. I know I sound so stupid in asking a dumb question.

As far as I know, it is a cell phone game, only released in Japan. =/

So I doubt that you'll be able to get it here somehow.

Yeah, Before Crisis is for Mobile only but chance is that it might come to PSP. I dunno how true this is, its just what I've heard.

The game is mainly about the Turks although the other characters do appear in there too. It takes place before Crisis Core (hence the name Before Crisis). Crisis Core and the anime, Last Order is 5 years before FFVII. The Advent Children novel is the direct sequel to FFVII which takes place directly after the ending of FFVII and leads up to Advent Children which is 2 years after meteor clashed with the Lifestream in FFVII. Then Dirge of Cerberus is the latest in the FFVII timeline, which is a year after Advent Children.

Apparently another Final Fantasy VII was announced together with the 3 new KHs. It is FFVII: Endless Crisis. No official info at all about that has surfaced, it seems to be just a rumor.

nobodyking, you are playing crisis core first! yes it is the first in the timeline of FFVII, but it is really better to play them in the order they came out in, except for before crisis of course, because it hasn't come out here yet, and it came out second I think in japan.
square said it was supposed to come out in like 2006 here, but it never did.
and wow I never heard anything about this FFVII: Endless Crisis, I'll have to look into it

Hey isn't las order a movie like that is in the form of anime style? BEcuase if my memorie serves me right it is a movie so does that mean I don't really have to play Crisis Core.

Also well I just got Crisis Core like a week ago and I'm on Chapter 9, I have been planning on getting the original on amamzon but i just think it is like way to much money so I'm waiting for the best deal even though I'll probably settle for $80 which is the lowest i can find I all of a sudden just love ff7 and I'm obsest so I need to fuel my obsession. I can't wait to get the original and i plan on renting Advent Children this weekend.

Last Order is a 30 minute anime that covers the incident at Nibelheim 5 years before FFVII and Zack and Cloud's escape from Shinra and the Turks. Crisis Core covers alot more than that. I cant compare its coverage of the Nibelheim incident to Last Order because I havent reached that part yet. However, Last Order is not sold on its own, so if you want it and dont have Advent Children yet, you should buy the Collectors Set since its got LO on the bonus disc. Plus you'd get the novel as well to get clued in on the inbetween stuff.

Oh well see I'm at the Nibelheim incident right now and i'm fighting Sephiroth which is surprisingly easy!
Guess I'll have to buy the collecters and well I guess i have ruined the series for myself becuase i played crisis core befoore the original

Actually no Before Crisis happens 6 years before FFVII and Crisis Core happens 7 years before FFVII, thus Crisis core comes first. Before Crisis starts after the end of the Wutai war which you fight in during Crisis Core.

The name of it doesn't indicate that it happens before Crisis Core.

Seriously? FFVII: Endless Crisis? I'm totally finding out info about it. I'm looking foward to it, I hope the rumor comes true.

EDIT: I looked up some info and I found out that it's probably a remake or either a sequel. And the it's for the PS3. Crap, I need to buy a PS3. (Only when I know for sure FFVII:EC is coming out!)
