FFVII: Endless Crisis was a hoax, no such game is announced to be in production.

Actually, I think you're confusing that with Advent Children because around the time that Crisis Core info started coming in, people were still hyped about Advent Children, and were saying that Crisis Core takes place 7 years before AC. Now AC takes place 2 years after FFVII. So Crisis Core takes place 5 years before FF7. Other than that, in Crisis Core, it is found that Zack and Cloud escaped from the Shin-ra basement 4 years after the incident in Nibelheim. And if we've played FF7, we know very well that the events in Nibelheim happened 5 years before FF7. The actual assigment to Nibelheim was not long after Zack became 1st Class.

The name does have some meaning. The actual Crisis is easily identified as the Nibelheim incident, the turning point in Sephiroth's life. Thats what caused everything to go so wrong in the FFVII story. So Before Crisis shows the way the world was before Sephiroth changed. And near the begining of Crisis Core is when Sephiroth first starts suspecting something, to after Sephiroth leaves. Thats why forum member New2Ya said that FFVII:Endless Crisis may be a remake of FFVII because it is after the Crisis. But that was just a guess, and now not worth much since TheMuffinMan said it was a hoax.

All I had known and seen about FFVII:Endless Crisis is HERE. Thanks to New2Ya for finding that.

OH well I really want them to do a remake even though I know in my a heart the original FFVII is probably best it is just such a hassle to get it and it makes me regret telling my mom that I didn't want it when I was in blockbuster those years ago. *Bangs head on table*

^If it is truly the best you should willingly take up the hassle involved with acquiring it, no matter what.

No, I have Crisis Core it says directly from the booklet that it takes place 7 years prior to FFVII. Zack at the beginning of the game is 16 and at the end is 23 thus a 7 year difference. The game is about mainly about Shin-Ra versus AVALANCHE which happens after the Wutai war which you fight in the very beginning of Crisis Core, the name "before" does mean that it happens before Sephiroth's change but not before Crisis Core. I know it seems odd that Crisis Core takes place so far from FFVII but it does even though it happens so quickly in the game, Zack becomes a first class SOLDIER while Angeal is still alive and not after and years past after his death after that The Nibelheim incident happens.

That's just a rumor I may not know French but I know that "rumeur" looks like rumor that hasn't been expanded upon since Sept.

^Ah yes, I see. The "Seven years prior to the events of Final Fantasy VII" might mean just that. I also checked Brady Games strategy guide, and it gave for Zack's age 16-23. So I looked for where this break might be, I thought that maybe it was after he changed his hair, but then Aerith would be waiting 2 years for her flower wagon. We know that his hair was changed the day he went to Nibelheim because a message on his phone said that he told everyone those brave words words on the day he changed his hair.

We must have been playing 2 years of Zack's life before going to Nibelheim.

So Before Crisis starts after Crisis Core starts and finishes before Crisis Core finishes.

Zack changes his hair after Angeal dies in Modeoheim not Nilbelheim, I thinks you just confused the two places. I have no real clue right now how long we play from that day up to the incident in Nibelheim but I know the game goes through 7 years.

Heehee, I will never confuse Nibelheim, its my favorite FF7 place.

One of the messages (I think from that guy that sees Zack as his role model) says that he said those inspirational words on the day he changed his hair. Wasnt that the same day that Sephiroth calls him and tells him about their mission in Nibelheim?

I dont think Zack changed his hair right after Angeal dies. I remember a scene soon after that where Aerith is talking about the upper city being closer to the sky, great for flowers. Zack was crying, but he had his old hairstyle.

No the day he gave the speech was before the day Sephiroth called from for Nibelhiem because first you have to fight the Genesis copies in Costa del Sol and Junon and at that time you get the message. After that Zack goes and makes the flower wagon, then gets shipped off to Nibelhiem. If all of that happened in one day then that was one hell of a day. I'm not saying it happened like years before hand but to me it seems like more than just one day passed is all.

Damn it there needs to be an official timeline released for Crisis Core.

I see your point. Like perhaps alot of time passed before his vacation and on his way back. But Aerith would have waited a long time for her flower wagon. I'm sorry, I give up. I just dont get where those 2 years came in.

Heh, what is wrong with me!?!? Im liek so big ff7 fanboi but don no sum fax bout it

I must look for the answer. Even if it takes research til 1:00am.
