Another FF question

WHat is the first ff game for the ps1 in america. because I just found out that my step dad had a ff game when Iwas like 4 (it wasnt that long ago) nlow were looking for it. My mom said it was old like maybe ffIII or ffIV (3 or 4) my friend (guyfrom crowd) they were for the n64. SO what was the first final fantasy game for the ps1 because when we find it I get to play my first ff game. And can some one posts a pic of the cover?

As I recall correctly, that would be FF7.

And btw, there are no FF games of the original series for the N64, only for the SNES.

My step dad said it was not ff7 it was older than that. I made a mistake he didnt buy it when I was for. he bought it before I was born. SO it was prob back in 1990 through 1994 or 95

FF7 is the first FF game to appear on Playstation. All other are on the SNES and still in 2D. FF7 was released in 1997. The one you might be talking about is FF6 (Brought out as FF3 in America), that game came out in 1994, but not for the playstation. But I only know the original serie, there might have been a spin-off released on the playstation. I wouldn't know about that.

Technically, 1 ,2, 4, 5, and 6 are available through the collections that are on ps1. Though the first ORIGINAL one was 7.

Uhh, not much in your dad's story seems to be adding up. Final Fantasy 7 was the first Final Fantasy to be released on the Playstation 1, every other Final Fantasy older than FF7 were for the SNES (Super Nintendo), NES (Nintendo), and Gameboy, not the Playstation.

So, if he's not talking about FF7 and he thinks that he bought it before FF7, than that isn't a Playstation game, it'd have to be a SNES game. Also, guyfromcrowd is thoroughly confused, because no Final Fantasy game was ever released for the N64.

Following the release of FF7 were the releases of Final Fantasy 8 and Final Fantasy 9, so he may be thinking of those games, but they are not older than FF7, and he wouldn't have bought those before you were born, they all were released after you were born.

Also, if you've never played a Final Fantasy game before and you're looking for one to be your first, play Final Fantasy X for the Playstation 2. It's much easier for beginners, has a good story and characters, you get a feel for turn-based battles, and from there you can see if you like it enough to play the classic Final Fantasy's

We cant find the game anyway but those might be the cases my mom said that its been along time sice she saw it so she wouldnt remember correctly. I will show them to my stepdad and see what he says.

If he said that it wasn't FF7, and your mom says it wasn't FF8 or FF9, then the game they are talking about is not a Playstation game, it's a Super Nintendo game.

Is it this one? Because this is the only other FF for the PS1 that has a girl on it and it is FFV and FFVI but it was released in 1999. If it isn't this one or the FFVII-FFIX then it is not a PS1 title.

We never had a super nintendo. HE didnt either. He hasnt seen the pics yet. I will show him later and see.
