Default Chrono Trigger remakes possible, says Takashi Tokita

With good news, however, must come some bad: in an interview with Takashi Tokita, who directed the FFIV remake, the possibility of a remake of another of his well-known games is discussed:

"Chrono Trigger was a no-holds-barred, swashbuckling adventure that was a lot of fun to work on... If the demand is great enough, it's certainly possible. But as a creator, I feel the need to create new titles and not just series installments and remakes. I realize it's a little strange for me to be saying that in an interview about Final Fantasy IV (laughs). But I need to remind myself of that, too."

Final Fantasy IV on the way to the U.S. - DS Fanboy

edit:
2.''If the demand is great enough, it's certainly possible."??

I hope that was a joke, lol.

Chrono series in general needs love. Just as Star Ocean is the underrated potential RPG series of the Enix half, the Square half has Chrono. I'd KILL to see Chrono Trigger for DS and maybe Chrono Cross for PSP. Also, THIRD CHRONO GAME, PL0X. >(

This way, TWO underappreciated series get more love~

Chrono Trigger should happen, it would be better then 50 FFI-VI remakes. IMO Also a Chrono Cross remake would own as well..

and new Chrono for the 360 or PS3 would be the best news ever.

The Chrono Trigger Game is just plain awesome. Haven't played it in a while but if there is a remake, I'll be one of the first people to try it. =D

Damn it. No more bloody remakes, I'm sick of them, make some new games, new IPs.

Chrono Trigger is one the best games Square has and in the top 5 for best JRPG..

THis one game that should have remake, but it won't because Square like too milk FF, DQ and KH.. Fans wil buy these titles no matter what.

Chrono Trigger has always deserved a remake/sequel. (I mean a third game, btw)

I'd really like to see the game on the psp, maybe as a bundle pack with Trigger and Cross together, and slightly better graphics, although I'd be fine with the original.
