Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Tidus' death was pretty sad, but not terribly sad Aerith's death to me was more shocking than anything, I was more in disbelief than sad so I will say neither, If I were to pick the saddest death I would have to agree with a lot of people on here and say Zack. his whole story is just so sad, especially since the whole time you know how it is going to end, it just makes it even more heart wrenching |

| Dark Lord of the Sith | Aeris' death shocked me, made me hate sephiroth so much yet loving FF7 so much more, although Zack dying is a close second. F*ck Tidus, j/k |

| Little Death | Angeal's death was somewhat sad. I haven't seen the Zack death, but I know that's coming up at the end. Aerith's death was sad too. |

Rep Power: 6 ![]() | The saddest for me is Zack's death, but from the "list" I would go with Tidus death (if you will call it that) because he knew what would happen the whole time. Then Raine, although we dont actually get to see her die, the ending of FF8 did get me there, when we see her tomb stone. Aerith's death was so sudden that I only actually thought about it a while afterwards. |

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | i would have to say zacks, hands down! But seeing as that option isn't on here, i totally go with Aerith's Death only because it was all just so sudden, you were emotionally abused, both emotionally, and mentally (because there was no more time to level up the best healer). Even though tidus' was pretty tragic, and not spoiled for me... Aerith's Death was still so....sudden Last edited by Ixcer; 04/07/08 at 06:36 PM. |

| Players adapt not survive | Nothing compares to Tidus's ending. He spent so much time with Yuna, knew he had to leave, but still showed his complete love to her, and was forced to leave her. She couldn't take his death and went straight through him when she tried to hug him. Aeris's death had nothing on Tidus's death. I cried when I saw the ending of FFX while Aeris's death did nothing for me, but say "Oh damn. Aeris is dead. I'm gonna kill you Sephiroth." It was a plain death like anyone else's. I can't believe her death is so worked over and talked about. She wasn't that special. Besides I liked Tifa over Aerith. |

| Twilight Knight | in the poll...Aerith...just like everyone said....shocking..... but the saddest one was in Zack's death..... about in Tidus' death....i agree a little....
Cloud: Zack. Zack: On....my....behalf--- Cloud: Your behalf? Zack: That's right. You will--- Cloud: You will--- Zack: Continue living. You are proof that I existed. My dreams and pride, I give it all to you. Cloud: I am proof that you existed
|

| Premium Member | did tidus actually die? i thought he came back in final fantasy x-2 with the secret ending and the extra secret ending when you complete the game with 100%. i thought aerith (aeris) and zack's death were pretty sad. tidus's didn't seem sad to me. i was actually sad for yuna instead. >.> |

| Ruler of Light | If there was no pole, I'd definitely say Zack's death in FF:CC. So, so sad. Zack, I want those wings too. |

Rep Power: 1 ![]() | Aerith's death got to me. i dont even know why, i wasnt even attached to that caracter, i never had her in my party, i knew she was going to die even before i started the game, but it still god damn got to me. It's more the way cloud reacts to it i think. the way he takes her into the water and slowly lowers her into it, then watches her disapear. It would be sad to watch something like that even if you dont know the caracters. There's a certain tenderness in the moment, very un-cloud like if you ask me.so to see him bring out his emotions like that was a strong point in the game. Zacks death was by far the hardest to take though in all of the ff games i've played so far. Crisis core made me get attached to that caracter. He's got a lot more personality and charisma then cloud ever had. plus i wanted zack+aerith to live happily ever after and make soldier-cetra babies. |

Rep Power: 2 ![]() | I don't get why everyone says Tidus didn't "die" just because he was a dream. His origins don't change the fact that he was a living, breathing, thinking, feeling person, who knowingly sacrificed his existence for a greater good, and when he died his spirit/pyreflies went to the farplane, which is the same place that the spirits of "real" dead people go to. As far as I'm concerned, his life and death were both real. As to whose death is more tragic, that's a tough one for me... Tidus and Aerith both knowingly gave their lives to save the world and their loved ones. Having not played Crisis Core I'm not too versed with the details of Zack's story, so I won't offer an opinion on him. As to whose death I felt more, whose I was drawn more into, I definitely say Tidus. One reason is that in FF7 you play largely from Cloud's perspective; Aerith is seen as somewhat secondary to him, sort of an alien person, not entirely understood. (at least, that's my opinion.) So her death is tragic, yes, but the world keeps on turning even after she's gone. With Tidus, though, you play entirely from his viewpoint, and I just feel the weight of his sacrifice more - especially because you spend the final few hours of the game knowing it's coming, and knowing what Tidus is feeling about it despite knowing he has to do it, whereas Aerith's death was a total surprise. |

Rep Power: 2 ![]() | Haha, Tidus' "death" was more like "HAHA YES FINALLY" and it was happy. The sad part of FFX was Yuna's emotional tragedy. ;_; But the death that got to me was, of course, Aerith's. I already knew about it too, but it's like Romeo and Juliet... you know it's going to happen, but it's still incredibly sad. ;_; |
