I picked Aerith's death but only because it was more painful then Tidus. I think that Cid in FFVI and Celes' attempted suicide was pretty harsh...the whole "YOUR WORLD ASPLODE" thing was pretty deep.

Anyway, in terms of FF deaths, four characters die in Final Fantasy Two :\ All were kind of like O_O to me. Galuf was pretty sad too and unexpected. Aerith is the one everyone remembers, since it was extremely sudden and came out of nowhere. The scene is beyond epic and extremely heart wrenching, especially the first time you play through the game. Zack's death in FF7 was really saddening too, not only for him, but for Cloud as well. Since we know... well not much about Zack through FF7, you can see how it affected Cloud a little bit more as you understand the story more. He's so devastated by Hojo's experiments and the death of his... well... first real "friend" that he develops an extreme personality disorder.

I'm not looking forward to seeing that scene in Crisis Core (no PSP). Last Order was bad enough.

Another really emotional scene from FF is in Final Fantasy IX after Zidane finds out his "true purpose" and just disregards his friends. I love that part because of the emotions it plays upon, and I hate it because of how mean Zidane is to Vivi. Also, at the end of Final Fantasy IX, technically four of your characters die before you fight the last boss. They give up their lives to the four members you choose for your party and are 100% confident that their friends will succeed. I <3 Final Fantasy IX.

Oh oh oh, can we also say the death we were happiest about? I vote Algus from Final Fantasy Tactics. I hate that guy >.<

Okay. Tidus doesn't even die, he disapears. He comes back to life sooner or later.

Definitely Aerith's death. I mean that music afterwards was dramatic. All FFX was was stupid melodrama crap that 2 year-olds could write. Okay, VII wasn't that much better, but still...

Anyways Reddas' death was the most dramatic of all. Seriously he was the most gar video game character ever.

I think that Zack's death is more sad for me. But I chose Aerith. I never finished FFX but I saw the ending on youtube.

It sucks that we still don't have any bad ending where everyone dies or only one is left alive.

Bullshit. I have Crisis Core and have been a Zack fan for 9 years yet now people wanna act like he's so awesome and that his death is so sad thanks to this game, I say bullshit but really don't mind me I just rant at new fans opinions for very arbitrary reasons because that's who I am. A hater.

Another sad death was at the end of Dirge of Cerberus when they show Shalua in the totaled pod.

Yeah, Zack's death is pretty tragic, but Aeris's death is more of a shock and I think it's sadder than Zack's.

I'm so used to PS2 graphics and stuff, when I saw Sephiroth kill Aeris on the PS1, the graphic quality was really not that good, and the death was more... laughable than sad. But that was because I saw the picture before I played the game..... so.... it really ruined it for me.
