Should i get Final Fantasy 12

Get XII if can't get your hands on earlier FF titles but even if can't don't rule out XII, it is worth the buy.

Why not try borrowing or renting iit first if you can.

There's a love story, just not a conventional one.

Right because being calm and cool about an impending war is the way to go and because having emotions is wrong nowadays.

Also, it's the only FF I can think of with extremely good dialogue

Ashe an emo? I understand this is a matter of opinion but, lolwut, never in my good will did I ever think I would see this label on her. If you can please elaborate this assumption, just outta curiosity. :^P

Personally I think she's an incredibly strong, admirable character, especially with all what she has on her shoulders. I won't expect her to act stoic all through-out the game considering all what she's been through. This woman actually picks up the pieces and sets shit straight asap, and she certainly doesn't depend on the others to spout some words of encouragement to help her keep rolling. Obviously she has to be a little emotional about her situation sometimes, but I never really see her backing out and spending more than what is a minute "emo-ing"...whatever that really means. lawl.

As a useless add-on: I <3 Ashe. First female FF character I appreciate to this extent.

12 is a good game, probably not good for a first main Final Fantasy game though. The battle system is fun and addictive, but some people feel it gets stale quickly and can be done on auto-pilot. Also, it's the only FF I can think of with extremely over the top dialogue. It's well written to be sure, but it's not as casual as basically every other final fantasy game.

I'm a bit of an ignant and admittedly I had some hard times understand wtfux they were saying D': I felt like such an uneducated peasant. Why couldn't they all talk like Vaan? DX

They should've done like in KH, where they keep a track of what's going on and crap in a journal.

i just FFXII and i got up to this part where Vaan and Penele are talking after the parade and he said that he has to see Dalan and i can't find him anf there is no Marker on the location map so what do i do because i am lost and early in the game

Ashe was not emo. She was upset for her Husband died, her Father was killed by the man she thought was her protection and they had Vaan as a tag along. Lord knows id be cutting If I had to listen to Vaan all ****ing day.

Head into Lowtown(look at your map there should be a pair of stairs that say LowTown) and just follow the icon marked "Old Dalan's Place". Also if you need more help go to the FFXII sticky thread :D

^LOL WTF. I was expecting this sort of answer, seeing as how this is the ONLY complaint I ever hear as to why people hate Vaan.

I'm pretty surprised to hear people wailing so much about this, yet Fran and her sisters are somehow quite obscured in this lame generalization. Dante from DMC3 is the biggest male tart I have encountered in a video game (not really saying much, I ain't got that many) - yet again nobody complains about him. He even FLAUNTS his sexuality, whereas Vaan doesn't do anything in particular other than...just being there.

Everyone in damn Dalmasca looks like that though I don't know why none of you all notice that, that doesn't mean that he is automatically a failure character. God..get over the whole no shirt thing and just look at Fran like I do.

The hell, why isn´t FFIX on that list?

Anyway, I never got in to FFXII (and I tried hard and long) but this is a really personal martter as some love and some hate.

My advise: Get a PS one memory card and FFIX (THE best FF I ever played). And later the other FF´s if you want...

no....

i'll give him this, he's not as bad as larsa. he definitely was more ambiguous, in appearance and in voice, but larsa proved his worth to me in the final parts of the game.

and the desert doesn't stop a certain sky pirate from wearing a suit with cuffs.
