IX I think was a bit underrated since here it is 8 years after its release and you don't really see too many naming IX as one of their top FF games or even if they've actually played it.

Yeah it was
it was a great game
it brought back that classic final fantasy look
castles, dungeons, villages, caves, and such

I only wished that it was much easier to level up characters a bit faster, the Yan monsters on Vile Island were a great place to level up but it took awhile just to beat one of those plus they can easily eliminate a single party member.

That was my first FF. <33
People almost never talk about it! It makes me so sad!
The music, the storyline, the characters were all great, and it's the FF I find myself playing over and over more than any other one. :3

Yeah because its fun
has a deep, enthralling plot
has a lot of side quests

but what i hate about all final fantasy games VII-IX is the beginning! OMG how i hate tutorials! AHH!

Yeah in IX there was that Moogle that would tell you basically all of the game basics which I never took the time to go through, I'd rather learn something by myself before reading the tutorials first.

They just waste so much time especially in IX

and the evil forest

The Evil Forest part to me didn't seem to take nearly as long as the play segment did, I jut wanted to skip that entire part of the game so many times.

O.O spoiler

I pretty much remember all of the back history of the game which a lot of the events like Garnet's real name which wasn't told in the main storyline, you had to find that out through a very small side quest at the Eidolon wall.
