I daresay the convo has moved on from this topic... but a remake, of god yes a remake. I think with a remake in hand a movie would hardly be necessary simply based on the fact that one of the main critiscisms that FFVIII faced from reviewers was that it's story was too reminiscent of a movie. That being said I think that's what made the game.

I am a bit skeptical of giving voices to the PS1 FF characters though... I'lmn just worried the voice casting might be fail :(

But other than that... to see balamb garden in next gen graphics :D
And a reainmated Griever... I want to see what he OUGHT to look like, because a winged lion could have a better design than Griever did, and I loved every other aspect of griever, the winged lion them, all the silver motifs *owner of all griever related merch taht features in the game including a full-scale gunblade* :D

Anyways... I'm done ranting

It depends. If the voice acting is cheery and happy like all the other games, then yes.

FFVIII was a very mature game. There wasn't much laughing.

The voice acting should be more like that seen in serious movies, with natural voice acting. Picture FFVIII with serious voices like in Crash or Babel.

Sounds weird maybe, but it would make the game a lot more serious then a Rikku or Paine over-reacting their roles. All FFs and KHs so far gave me more of a musical-type of feeling then watching a serious story.

Well, they've managed to voice FFVII characters pretty well, so they should have enough experience to hire good FFVIII VAs. I liked the guy who did Squall's KH1 voice (lol, I know as him Angel from Buffy). I always pictured Rinoa with an Aerith-like voice (the Crisis Core one plz). Zell/Xell is so Zack/Gippal.

I'd love for a remake of this game, they just must not change the story. I'd actually prefer a movie to a game, and a sequel to a remake, but I cant stop thinking about Raine in high quality gfx.

I'd rather have a FFVII and FFVIII crossover that isn't involved with Kingdom Hearts in any shape, form, or fashion. I'm not talking about Final Fantasy Dissidia either lolz.

I have a question: Who here never used the tactic of simply drawing 100 of most of the spells you come across. because it certainly leaves no challenge in the game, I'm just wondering who has gone through the game while making it somewhat of a challenge

Not 100% sure I know what you mean, do you mean you never draw 100 spells, but now plan to
that you never don't draw 100 spells, and now plan to try not to?
hard to tell
and yes... random sucks :p I manage to avoid being too screwed over by it by refining all my crap cards and only having powerful ones left, so I still have it recorded that I once owned the card and can still brag completion, and am not disadvantaged in the matches.
