  • What is the guild primer?
The guild primer ( this thread ) lets everyone take a look at what current information involves squads and squad activity within the RPG Inferno.

  • What is a squad?
A squad is a group of players that have teamed up to work with each other for fun, competition, or rewards. Squads compete with each other to become the best squad playing the Inferno on KHI forums.

  • How do I join a squad?
In the squad section, there should be numerous threads of squads. You can merely post in one of these threads to ask if you can join, or a squad may be scouting members. It's best to keep your eyes open. Or, you could create your own squad.

  • How do I make my own squad?
    Follow this Handy Guide

  • Are there benefits to being in a squad?
Squads are for those who want to play the Inferno more than just casually. Also, there will be rewards for those who meet certain tasks that may not be available in a solo play.

  • Can I leave a squad?
You may leave a squad at any time, as long as you tell your clan leader in the squad thread or private message.

  • Where can I submit information about my squad?
You may submit information about your clan to me ( Raeneth ) or any other member of the RPG Inferno Staff. (Dark Blue Usernames)

  • Why isn't the guild primer updated?
We'll have to calculate a lot of points here and there, and being that we are human beings, the guild primer may not instantly be updated. In this case, it's best to be patient. We thank all of you for doing so.

  • What is the overall leaderboard?
The squad leaderboard shows how much Repute, or respect, a Squad has gained for its various exploits. By winning events and gaining turf, Squads gain more Points and more Repute. It also shows how many spendable points each squad has. Squads can spend their points to unlock a variety of special rewards.

  • How does my squad earn squad points?
There are ways to gain squad points that do not involve fighting or winning events, though events will give the most amount of 'free' points. The ways you can gain points are listed below.

    How to Earn Points
    1. Compete in Squad Events/Hunts/Jobs
    2. Donate munny to the Guild Funds. Ratio is 1:10. One point per 10 munny.
    3. Donate items to the Guild Funds. Ratio is 1:10 of buyback price.

Conversely, you can lose points as well. This is generally hard to do, and you'd have to really go out of your way to end up losing points.

    How to Lose Points
    1. Violate Forum Rules
    2. Violate Inferno Rules
    3. Violate Squad Rules
    4. Fail to show up for squad events you signed up for.

  • What is 'Repute'?
Repute is a summation of all of the Squad Points your squad has collected in its lifetime. Squads gain repute two different ways.

    How to gain Repute
    1. Win Squad Events/Hunts/Jobs

As you can see, Repute is harder to earn. However it's just as easy to lose Repute as it is to lose Squad Points.

    How to lose Repute
    1. Severe violation of Forums/Inferno/Squad rules
    2. Failing to show up for squad events you signed up for.

Squads are ranked by Repute. Not by Squad Points.

  • How do I donate?
You can donate munny directly to the account in the Squad banking system that's run by myself. Since I won't be creating a Squad all of the munny donated to me will go directly towards purchasing rewards for our events and for sponsoring prizes for player run events! That's right, players can host tournaments and get given free prizes to hand out to the winners just from the squad funds donations

If you wish to donate items, do so in the Item Buyback thread. Simply state that you wish to sell the items back for Squad Points and it'll be done instantly.

  • What is the squad roster?
The squad roster is a list of all active squads. All inactive or disbanded squads are grayed out.

  • What are squad events?
Squad Events are events that squad members can take part in, whether they be missions or turf battles. These events are rewarded with Squad Points, Repute, and items or equipment.

  • What are squad jobs?
Squad Jobs are events in which a clan is summoned to do a specific task for a reward. Squad Jobs are posted here in the Guild Primer for reference.

  • What are squad hunts?
Squad Hunts involve players going out to hunt a specific enemy that appears for a certain amount of time. Squad Hunts will be posted in the Guild Primer for reference.
  • What is a squad headquarters?
A squad headquarters is a base of operation for Squads. Squads will spend points to upgrade their living space to really make their own special place in the Inferno. They can purchase shops, special items, and even have access to a special Squad Funds bank account right from their base. Leaders can store all Squad-only munny there, and members can put aside munny they wish to donate for the squad as well

  • How does my squad obtain a headquarters?
Obtaining a headquarters is simple once you've been around for a while in the Inferno. The easiest way to earn a base is to accumulate 1000 Repute for your Squad. This is gained through events. The other way is to simply gain control of a turf. If you have a turf, you will have a HQ. Don't worry about losing your headquarters though, since once your squad has a headquarters it cannot be taken away unless you break a rule or have your squad be disbanded.

It's a bit eye bleedy, but still readable on dark skins. Just following the old school template that worked well with no complaints.

Tad upset that turfs are back :/ Didn't really much like them or think they had a point in the last inferno. At least turf challenges can be denied. I'd hate to have to fight so many times against a weak squad that just wanted the turf and I couldn't deny their request :X

Well... :) all I have to say is one thing... About the trading members.. I think there should be a major penalty for a person who leaves a squad... lets say oh.. not being able to join a squad for 1-2 months :) shuffling members or they should at least have to pay a hefty fee to get inside a Squad. I just don't want people to jump around like they sometimes do. just me trying to make things a bit more strict :P. But that's not my call.

I think turfs will be fun this time around I hope. When we get down to the first Turf Contest (in June) there will be more information about them.

The squad the player goes to doesn't have to accept them. Why should we punish those who join squads, quit, and join others? They have to pay to get in again anyway. It's up to the leaders to regulate this, not the Inferno team ^_-

I think this is a good thing to implement, if you do it this way then this can stop alotta confusion and a HUGE mess. People jumping around from sqaud to squad, leaving and then re-joining, then you got the people who join just to see how it is in a squad then leave and become loners, it be alotta crap happening, but by implementing this, it can somewhat maintain order in my opinion.

Pretty much. I think the biggest thing is that those people who wander between squads won't do it NEARLY as much seeing as they'd need to (probably) pay to get into a Squad. The Squad Leader decides if new members will need to pay or not to get in. If it's someone notorious for bouncing around, you could charge them extra and make it worth your while if they intend to leave. This way the squad benefits no matter what :3

Happy Adventuring!

Question, for the equipment (besides weapons) Can we have more then one? As in, we get a helm then get mitres as well? Along with that, would it be a custom equip? One that is just for our squad? Kind of like the Candy Corn hats. I assume a sprite would need to be made for them, but aside from that, The Templar Knights could have Knight helms for them?

One other question, must we get the 25% and 45% off before getting the 65% off? Or can we just skip straight to the last one? Along with that, is there any possible way for us to buy a bank for our squad in our HQ? It could make things rather easier to have a squad bank account to keep track of funds for ourselves.

Yes. Untradeable.

I can handle it. Yeah, anything you'd like. Still not sure how to deal with chapters changing and whatnot. Probably purchasing a store upgrade for each chapter to get stronger items. Unsure.

I'd probably prefer each one along the way. Otherwise you spend 3500 for 65% off while another Squad would spend 7500 for it. You'd need to get each discount. Skipping to the last'll cost 7500 probably.

You get one for free when you get a HQ. it's the Squad Funds :3

To attempt to take a turf from another squad, you must give forth an official challenge. The challenging squad must offer up something in order to challenge. Challenging squads can offer anything like Turf, Munny, Items, Squad Points, or even Squad Members in the exchange. The challenging squad then either accepts or rejects the challenge. If the defending squad accepts the challenge then a battle will ensue whose terms are agreed upon by either side. The victor then takes the spoils from the loser.
Uh... I just ran into a bit of a question. What would happen if a Squad was at the Member Cap already and the opposing Squad in a turf battle put up a member as the reward for winning... If the squad at the Member Cap wins, what happens to the member who was put up? Does he just lose Squad Membership and have to rejoin? What if the defending squad doesn't like the terms of the agreement?

Basically... What happens if no one is able to offer anything worthwhile to the defending Squad? Does the Squad still need to accept a challenge with something up which they cannot/will not accept? Does a Squad have to accept a challenge in which they will gain a member beyond their own member cap for a successful defend?

I mean, I guess the Leaders should negotiate terms, but what if the defending Squad is being forced to accept a challenge due to it being the last day of the month and no one with a worthy offer has attempted a challenge? Would the defending Squad be forced to accept a challenge from which they would win nothing?

Well if the defending squad wishes to accept the challenge that offers a member while at the cap, they'd need to make space just in case. In this case I would say the defending team would request that the attacking squad would put up the cash money for the extra slot.

If they are forced to accept the challenge (seeing as they must accept one a month) with rewards they cannot accept (Indigo Etherite/Squad Special equips) then they CAN NOT accept the challenge. Even if it's the last day of the month. It has to be a legitimate challenge that they accept. You can't offer 1 munny up and challenge for a turf since the other squad must accept it. If they can't accept the member, like stated previously the leader should request the cash for the extra member slots. If they so wish... they can trade members to stay at the cap. This is all a part of the negotiations. If the defending team wins and theywish to trade members to stay under the cap and the attacking team refuses the trade offers the winning team gives out, then they must replace the member with a cash sum of 300 munny per member. The losing team would keep their members.

The goal here is really to find a good offer near the beginning/middle of the month and take that so you don't have to deal with garbage offers at the end. If there is a totally unfair bid for the turf nearing the end of the month, you can submit a plea to a neutral party (Inferno Team Members. Bet you didn't see that coming) and they will look at the deal. If it's unfair/illegal then we hold the power to nullify that offer and the defending team will not be penalized. Hopefully it doesn't have to come to this. If everyone plays fair then there's no reason for the Inferno Team to interfere with the Squad Biznizz.
