Default Zexion and Riku scene - spoilers, duh
One thing that I still don't get. Xion no doubt saw a screwed up Memory of Riku and Zexion meeting in Castle Oblivion. She saw them, and then flashed (well, after she flashed to being her from being Roxas) to being Riku - before the eventual flash into Sora.
I can only imagine she absorbed that when she was in Castle Oblivion, but... wasn't she supposed to be absorbing Sora's Memories, not in general?
Does it mean Riku did have his Memories messed with?
And if Xion did absorb some of Riku's Memories - what happened to them when she disappeared? Did they come back with her to Sora too? Into Roxas? Is that why Riku was able to use the Oblivion so well, to the point it changed shape when he held it? Keychains are Memories, so if Xion - no doubt related to the Oblivion - had some of Riku's Memories in her it would tie in nicely D:

Opinions, please, and better yet - it was was explained in some interview or another, lemme at it! ;w;

She had dreams of Sora's Memories as well, to the point of dreaming the dream he had at the start of KH1 before the Destati when he was drowning.
That doesn't change that she was getting Riku's Memories somehow :\

Perhaps the memory is somewhat residual, left over from their time at CO, and Xion is just receptive to it, and absorbed it into her?

I was and still am very confused about this scene in general too. Hope the english one can reveal some answers... I couldn't understand like 75% of the Japanese out of cutscenes.

Well this is what I've heard. Since Xion is a creation of memories more or less, she sort of has a connection to those who are close to Sora. Much like Namine can alter the memories of those close to Sora. Anyway, Xion experienced Riku's memories as a result of being near him at the time of her nightmare, being part of Sora, and being an existance made from memories.

I'd say this is more wide spread speculation than fact, because I've never read anything confirming what that nightmare was all about.

It would add up if say she picked the Memories up in CO and being near him is what triggered it... but I certainly would've liked to get an explanation on that one :\

It makes me wonder why we haven't had a confirmation on the nightmare yet. Perhaps it has some connection to BBS? But I'm not sure, and it's kind of a stretch to even think that Xion+Riku's memories has any sort of connection to BBS at all.

I'd sooner go with Keyblade relations here. The Keyblade was originally Riku's, and it go to the point that when he held the Oblivion - obvious represantation of Xion, Nomura said so himself - the Keyblade changed shape. I wonder if that remote link might've had to do with it, seeing how Xion was created for the sake of snatching Sora's Keyblade through his Memories.
Riku is the original intended Wielder of the Keyblade, and he got one of his own not too long afterward. Wonder if Xi-Xi is related to the mess.

What's just as perplexing as the idea of Xion experiencing Riku's memory is the specific memory she experiences. Out of all of Riku's memories of DI, she experiences the one instance where Zexion talks to Riku about destroying his home? Why?

In Re:CoM, that scene was in text bubble format (ie it wasn't regarded as important enough to be made into a fully voiced scene).
It's even more troubling how Zexion and Riku circle around Xion, speaking in unison (as if to her).

They were on DI itself. Think back (irony) to the end of KH2 and Riku going "how can I go back home, how can I face everyone?". I can only imagine the guilt trip he was going through, just being there, but he had to so he could talk to Xion.

So much for Nomura wanting to tell us more about Riku. You'd think that with that and how much influence he had on Xion, we'd have actually gotten to see more of him.

My guess would be that she can't quite access his Memories directly, but rather more what he went through in Castle Oblivion due to her affinity with the place.

Considering that this will be the last we see of Xion, it seems odd to leave us in the dark on that scene though. :/

Unless they're saving stuff for that FM, dun dun duuuuuuun O: or novels or whatever, iono. Or maybe they remembered halfway that the game is about Roxas and not Xion so they gave us more pointless missions instead of Riku-Xion interaction.
Or they just left those days blank for the Rion fans >:3
I honestly don't know.
I'm personally hoping for at least a mention of her in the future though. Either through Coded or what not.
