No, actually. The line is a lot more touching when you look at it from Roxas' point of view. Xion was one of his only two friends, and all they could do together was have ice cream together after missions. Since he was born less than a year ago and having ice cream with his friends was the only thing that made him happy, it means a lot more in his point of view.

Yeah i know that and i liked that, it was very emotional and made me think, wow roxas has never had a true frindship and thinks that friends are people you eat ice cream with and nothing else, according to what axel told him, but it sounded really awkward. Like I had friends watching me beat the game and they where like wtf?

The "Who will I have Ice Cream with?" line is probably one of the deepest lines of dialog in the entire game. :\

He's showing a multitude of emotions all in one. He's showing his remorse over losing her, his love (friendly mostly) for her, and also his want for a stable, carefree existence, something which he realizes is impossible in the organization shortly after that scene. Roxas lost more than just his drinking buddy in that scene, he lost his only past-time. His only joy. The only thing that broke up the daily grind of mission after mission after mission... Ice Cream was his escape from reality, his only chance to be him and those being in his last words to Xion really shows how much it meant to him.

It really points towards the fact that Roxas indeed has a heart. :\


Maybe I'm reading too deep into a single line...

Oh, and... there's no way you could possibly grasp the depth of the line without playing through the entire game, so don't blame your friends for being all wtf over seeing him say that. It's a ridiculous line without knowing the stuff behind it. o-o
