Default (SPOILERS) Xion's name
I'm trying to wrap my head around this one. Is it "No. i" as in, "No Me", which would kind of make sense? But what's with the period in there? Adding the period changes "No" to "Number", in which a lowercase "i" means nothing. Help me out here.

Because Xion was the first of the Replica Project: a project in which Xemnas creates replicas of Sora to quicken the process of creating Kingdom Hearts. Hence, she is No.1.

I figured since this was posted in the spoilers section, I didn't need to label it as a spoiler.

How can it be "Number 1" though? If they purposefully added a period to make it mean "Number", surely they'd use a capital "i" to make it a roman numeral. Without the capitalization it's just a letter.

I get why she would be considered "Number 1", I guess I just expected them to capitalize the "i".

well, it was used in a name. If they capitalized things the way they were supposed to be, Roxas would be RoxaS and Axel would be AxeL. It just isn't proper in a name.

Thanks, but I'm not mentally retarded. I was asking about the meaning behind "No. i", whether it's considered "No me (I)" or "Number 1" or anything else.

it's fairly simple, if it was "not me" it would be "no i" but instead they used abbreviation for number. so it's "no. I"

It's not No. I.

It's No. i.

The "i" is not capitalized, quite intentionally. It was said in an interview, I believe, that her name also comes from the number i, which is an imaginary number.

Xion existed, and at the same time, did not.
