Default Signature of the Week Reform
Lately, the Signature of the Week competition has been lacking, and, compared to the much earlier competitions, hasn't seen quite as much attention or activity. Over the next month or so I plan on overhauling Signature or the Week, with the result of increasing activity in the section,getting more participants, and heightening overall organization.

I'm very open to anyone and everyone's suggestions. SotW is here for your enjoyment, so let me know what you'd like to see improved, what you dislike about the competition, or anything you think would be good to add.

Note: This week there won't be an SotW ( =/ ), as Frozen Inferno are still working things out. Don't worry though, SotW will be back better than ever next week!

Make a newb SOTW? People new to graphics will participate knowing that there is a chance they'll win.

Xidon, we've had that thought before, but the question is... Who deciedes if a person belongs in the regular SotW or if the belong in the newb one?

Thats easy, you let everyone participate in SOTW regardless of their skill, you only ban people from entering the newb one and deciding who doesn't belong to the newb one is easy.

My point exactly. Dividing the SotW would cause a ton of controversy among all of the GFXers here.

And by reforming SotW, we are trying to unite us as a community, not further divide us.

As for splitting it up-- you expect people to lower their standards just for the sake of others getting more of a chance to win? There is a reason it's called Signature of the Week, it's a competition. People get better after a while and eventually earn their way to a victory.
