What's more is that the cut members could sit back and enjoy seeing their friends and the new gfx kids try to impersonate their style, while of course serving as the main judges.
The winner's creation would be the closest to that member's style.

The results would be pretty interesting if you think about it.
As long as the 'chosen member' wouldn't feel violated, then I'd say that it may be worth a shot.

I think that, as a theme for one week, trying to do a tag using some else's style would be a good idea. At the moment, though, I don't want to look at cutting people out for any reason until we get participation up.

Like categorizing GFXers by skill. set up guide lines for each rank. then a 'Tag for Rank' sub section. were ppl drop their tag and ppl vote based on the guide lines.

The only thing that rankings would do is cause so much chaos and controversy amungst us seing as how the rankings would then divide this whole section into those who know what they are doing and those who don't. Like Ray said, if you want a ranking system, then you are better off going to NSL where the ranks matter.

if we did that, we would get like 10 submissions for one group, and 3 or 4 for another
and after that, nobody would get any votes.
