Seeing how Xion is not confirmed to be Kairi's Nobody, I don't see the problem with what you said.
Also, again, as you stated - the odd one out seems to be Naminé, being a by-product of Roxas's birth.
Even if Xion was born on the Night of the Storm as Kairi's Nobody, she'd be a tiny bit less 'strange' than Naminé, seeing how there was only one person involved in her birth as opposed to Naminé that was all but born from Sora.

Kairi is important enough thanks to Naminé, and hopefully with BBS bringing it back to the plot-view, thanks to her original plot role of being a PoH. She hardly needs Xion to make her more important.
I think it would make more sense to have Xion and Aqua related, seeing how Terra has relations to the present via Xehanort, and Ven through Roxas and Sora. Aqua's the only person we can't relate right now.

But consider the fact that Aqua is connected to Kairi, at least by name, so you can't rule out that Aqua is somehow connected to Kairi and by extension Namine and Xion.

Also if you payed attention, Kairi's role in the series has been minuscule and almost useless other then a plot device/ Mary sue. If Xion directly correlates to Kairi, and some how Sora (most likely his memories and by extension Roxas) they better have a good explanation for it.
