It's so that we don't have a hundred noobs coming in a day, making an account, and then never touching it.

It's so that they can make sure people aren't here just for the game and interact with the community. At least that's what I think.

Inferno Team made it so people have to post so they can find them easier. Much easier to find someone that has a few posts then someone who has 0.

Maybe but if somebody came here and want to start will get a barrier because if he don't want to flood he will try to get friends in hello topics using community forum as Foyer or others, but posts are not counted there..

Just so you know, double-posting's bad luck here. And I didn't know posts don't count there. I thought they did.

No. It's so the Inferno Team can find people with double accounts easier.

Post count does not increase inside of the Foyer. That's probably the problem. Posts there are mostly spam or hello and goodbye posts.

5 posts isn't even much, If people only join for the Inferno then whats the point of the forums? Least this way people will do some form of interacting with the forums.

Maybe:) But if the point is the game interest? Now I don't have enough questions to ask, but maybe when I play I can post good questions?

So can anybody tell me who exactly doing technical updates for this game. I'm interesting in this game engine and have my own game and some questions about bugs and addin new features. But there are no docs or any help materials which can make develop a little bit faster

This. For almost every person playing the RPG, the forums came first. Most of them are even active in other forums than just the Inferno. For example, several players are excellent spriters, some make some pretty sick signatures and avatars, some are great writers, etc. etc. Most of the reasons for post count barrier above are correct, in addition to the fact that it makes a great incentive to be active in the entire community, not just the game.

Other sites I've been to require you to have fifty posts or be a member for a few months before you're allowed access. By comparison five posts is next to nothing. Also, other reasons:

Clearly you know not of the staff of KHI. We don't tolerate that kind of thing around here.

The Inferno is a community. If you aren't willing to take time to find five topics you're interested in in the entire forums (and there are so many topics to post about it's insane) then I don't really think that the person in question would be able to hack it in the Inferno. Srsly.

There have been plenty of people who made accounts, did the five intelligent posts and only played. Five Posts takes about ten minutes, maybe, and then you have endless time to play the game. Reading and patience are keys to enjoying the system.

The Group that created the Inferno software no longer exists, so there are no formal technical updates coming. Ever. Therefore you'll not be able to ask questions about bugs and development, because all the Inferno Team mainly interacts with is through an interface created by the Group while they still existed. However we are always tweaking things here and there to get a more customizable and fully functioning system.

Also your issue about the five posts is clearly voided by this thread itself. You have five full posts just by interacting with a small part of the community. Now maybe you'll not be as apprehensive to ask more questions and meet new people. Huzzah for the system working.
