Look for our time zone and relate it to another time zone. As a great example We have an event coming up very soon. The time for the event is 8 est. The time up there in he example is 6 pm Add 2 hours to that timezone and add 2 hours to your own timezone. That's when the event starts for you. Use this thread to determine when events start. If someone had said 4 PM mountain time, then whatever time is on this list is the time you go for, as 4pm is on the list and all time zones match up to that particular time, if someone had said 1 PM mountain time that's -3 hours from this list. Take away the 3 hours from their time zone and your own and that's when the event starts. I made this for people having timezone troubles. Hopefully it'll get stickied. Rep Power: 1 ![]() Level: EXP: | +1 Sticky plz and a cookie for griever!!111 Finally some1 who thinks and isnt lazy...yes, thx u, THX U good sir EDIT: i know its being picky, but should the timezones that come first than GMT be before the GMT? I know i know, its same thing! But this was intended to ease the pain taht is decifering Ds ETAs. So i think its wise to make it easier for the less fortunates who think -7h is actually 7 hours ahead of GMT, and print it has it is in view of GMT. First come the minus timezones, then GMT, then the + timezones. I know its more work for ur, but my point of view, i get to be picky if i wanna xD Last edited by Ukrany; August 15th, 2009 at 02:05 AM. Reason: i object!!! |

| Keyblade Wielder | Also, people, take into account if it's 1 hour off your zone then you have Daylight Savings Time in your state. Don't just go freakin out and whining all over Griever. |

Actually screw that >_> If ppl can't figure it out there is nothing less fortunate. They know their time zones they can look up their own timezones >_> it's good as it is. All they need to do is add hours or take away hours >_> I'm not catering to nitpicking and the whole list will mess up >_> and I'm not starting over from the beginning. So they can deal, all they are doing is subtracting and adding hours. That's it >_>. That's not hard. If they can't figure it out tough on them it's simplistic. Not to mention there is a reference to each time zone on the side they look up their timezone see their GMT time the example time and go from there if they mess up it's literally their own fault. btw It's the same thing ~_~ Last edited by Griever!; August 15th, 2009 at 02:56 AM. | |

An internet thing can tell you when it's a certain time here, what time it'll be over there. Much more useful, and easier to use. This really has no need to be stickied. Brings up a reason to find a common link to an internet one, but other than that. =/ |

Rep Power: 6 ![]() Currently playing: RPG Inferno Level: 23 EXP: | It mostly likely will be. Considering how many times do we get asked what time is an event? What time is it for this time zone, that time zone. Can easily just give them the link now. I just hope people can understand what it says really.. Table should be organized and setup in a different way.. but.. I guess it's perfectly fine to read if you know what it all means. |
