I don't know how to open the door to Merlin's place in Traverse Town, help!

umm use the clues. for the stones just to give you an idea all the other elements are there. The only ones missing is fire thunder and ice. think about how each element opposes another and all that stuff. The top one is obvious cus the clues tell you but think of the other 2 stones. and try to pain a mental image of the door and the other elements involved.

ya but once you put them in and they're wrong you can't remove them again can you? cuz I put them in before, I put 2 stones in the first 2 holes, but when I went to the 3rd, I couldn't put the last stone.

Actually you just go back to the fountain and grab some more :P

Well just try again sometimes it'll glitch up you can always put the last stone in. when you do it should tell you right or wrong if it didn't open go back to the fountain and grab more ey? but it probably accepted all 3 make sure you select restart chat and examine door and all that stuff =X

I inserted the fire and blizzard stones. All that's left is thunder, right?
Well, I inserted thunder in the last hole and it didn't work, I inserted Blizzard in the last hole and it didn't work and I inserted fire in the last hole and it still didn't work.

Ok. Listen to what I am saying because I can't exactly give you the answer. There is no first second or third. the holes are basically a diamond the riddle TELLS you the top one IS fire.

This means the top slot you put fire in NO MATTER WHAT The other 2 is like this. if you mess up one combo just switch it and you'll get it. That being said it should only take you 2 attempts.

Remember fire is the top slot Be sure to read. there is no real order so the only 2 you need to figure out is where the blizzard goes left or right or where the thunder goes left or right. like I said at max it should take 2 attempts. if you mess up then switch where you put the blizzard and where you put the thunder. just make sure to keep a mental note..

Also realize it or not that door your stuck at is like a color wheel. all with their opposites so all 6 items on that door is Water thunder fire ice quake and water. Read the clues it gives you and it should be easy if you think about what each of the clues represents.

But if your just going to cruise through it the hint itself says like the flame starts at midnight or something obviously midnight is 12 o clock meaning straight up meaning the top slot has to be fire regardless of the combos.




Tl;dr The top slot is always going to be fire. figure out where the other 2 go and don't put fire anywhere else but the top slot.

The door is a symbol of the elemental wheel. Those symbols that reside directly across from each other are opposites.
Fire/Water are opposites, so Fire goes in the whole directly across from a water droplet. If you think about it you should be able to get the hole that is directly across from a stone, and then it's a process of elimination for the one across from some wavy lines (wind)
